The new furniture throughtout the lodge was a big improvement on the previous fittings - really sturdy and smart. You get two dishwasher tablets - which was enough for a 3-night stay.

Holiday lodge was not as advertised, there were clean sheets and towels, however there were long black hairs in the bed under the sheets, on the floor and in the en-suite bathroom

Lovely lodge. Perfect for a family of 6 - plenty of space for the teenagers to not feel on top of each other. Hot tub was amazing! All very clean. The welcome pack and robes were a welcome bonus!

The lodge we stayed in could use a deep clean dust on headboards had stains on sofa and the toliet smelt so bad I couldn’t sleep properly the Small room had a musky smell that didn’t go away even when sprayed out and the hot tub rings kept falling off, also the electric’s kept tripping so I had to use the fuse box a few times and I would of liked to have a kettle because the boiling water tap didn’t always work. Staff always kind and helpful and the kids loved it.

Amazing holiday, location and accommodation lovely! Beautiful views of the sea from our lodge. Took our dog and was concerned as she likes to be outdoors but the decking on the groundfloor was perfect and high enough she couldn't jump over. Had an issue with WiFi but was due to new supplier, would definitely go back!

The lodge was clean and warm when we arrived with a lovely welcome pack for us to use. There is a dog washing station by the spa facility which is great if you have a dirt magnet like our dog. The balcony was a hit with our dog who could go and nosy at passers-by. The kitchen was fully equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. It was cosy and warm on an evening and we had lovely views out to sea.

Stayed in a Scandinavian Lodge for 4 nights in Feb. Firstly the bed sheet had a visible stain and it took three visits to reception over 2 days before this was rectified. I just wanted a new sheet and would make the bed myself but this was not done until the third complaint! These lodges are clearly the original ones they are very tired and need updating the cleanliness could have been better with cobwebs in the corners of the room particularly the main bedroom. Also dirty hand prints on the glass doors in the living room. The carpets could have done with a clean and the sofas were past their best. The location of this site is fab with easy access to the beach and numerous walks in all directions, coastal, woodlands, fields. The facilities it offers is good when they are open. I would not pay the amount being charged in high season for this lodge as definitely not worth it..There are some newer lodges over the other side which are probably much nicer than these maybe these are the five star ones? Park is in great location though!

The resort is excellent with great facilities, and located in very nice area. The restaurant and pool were both great. The lodge we stayed in whilst nice was a little tired, especially when compared to our previous stay in this resort a couple of years previously. Noting this was the resort had just opened for the year when we stayed I thought it would have been a bit better quality. It was also quite cold in the lodge and there were minor but annoying issues such as no where to hang coats...

Gwel an mor is an incredible resort. We stayed over Christmas ???? and had such an amazing time. Our 2 young children aged 4 and 5 loved the Christmas Eve party in the soft play and the quiet pool facilities and sensory friendly play park. There are so many beautiful coves within a short driving distance and portreath beach just a short walk away. The accommodation was amazing, we stayed in lodge H23 which didn’t overlook any other lodges and had a beautiful view. It was incredibly clean and very modern with great tech. The double oven was super and a good size for cooking our Christmas dinner! Loved the sound system and being able to connect the tv to it. Hot tub was fantastic and so much better than anywhere else we have stayed as we had access to it out of the bedroom door. Everything at Gwel an mor has been carefully considered making it such a great place to stay. Thank you so much for also including the Christmas tree, it saved us bringing one with us. We will 100% be coming back if we can get a good deal for next Christmas. We felt it was very good value and would recommend it to anyone. We had a landline in the lodge and the reception called a couple of times to check everything was ok with our stay which was a nice touch. Great customer service overall, they couldn’t do enough for us.The ONLY negative for our family was not having free access to the soft play. We felt that having paid a reasonable sum for the holiday that this could have been included or atleast one or two entries for free. Otherwise for a family of 4 it’s £17 every time. It also would have been great to have had a little note when we arrived to say what was open and when on-site as we weren’t sure when the wildlife area or pool was open etc.I won’t end on a negative because I would rate the resort 9/10! The luxury eco lodges are well worth spending a little extra on.

Nice quiet place within walking distance of Portreath and friendly staff, however the lodge needed TLC and overall not worth the money spent. We didn’t feel we were at a 5 star location.
Stephen
Date of stay: 10th November 2023
We rented 2 lodges which needed lots of maintence, example our bedroom door wouldn't close, a barrel was missing from the onsuite door so couldn't close, shower screen wouldnt go over Bath so when having a shower flooded the floor, the sink had a leak so the floor was wet, when they come to fix the leak they made no difference as it still wet the floor, the Bathroom window had clear glass in the window which was not good to have the blind down all the time, the outside furniture was smothered in green mould, we reported these issues and they took forever to fix some but not all of them so my husband had to fix these issues which is not what you want while on holiday, when I reported the clear glass in the Bathroom window I just got a ' oh sorry '! the outside of the Lodges are all in need of a good paint as they were very neglected !

The lodge was perfect for the 4 generations of our family and my dogs who went. Everyone had sufficient privacy, it was clean and had beautiful views. Absolutely nothing not to like about it.
Sarah
Date of stay: 27th June 2023
Very nice lodge in a good position; sea view; three spacious bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms. The house, balcony and deck could do with a bit of tlc, but were clean and very comfortable. The crockery, cutlery, pots and pans were adequate and there was a good washer/dryer and dishwasher.

Christine
We had a lovely 4 days, we got a text to say we could arrive early has the lodge was ready. The staff were very friendly and helpful anything you needed they were there in 5 minutes. Second visit will go again and stay longer next time.
Josh
The holiday was amazing, went there and stayed in the lakeside lodge for 3 nights. It was great, had someone checking the hot tub PH everyday, staff were really helpful and lovely to speak to. The bar/ restaurant was really good too, smaller than I expected but that was no issue at all. Really amazing place and lovely staff
Sarah
Had a lovely time. The lodge was fantastic. It would have been a 10 it is just a shame that they do not brush away all the cobwebs on the decking which have been there for quite some time. All the staff provided excellent customer service. The spa treatment was one of the best i’ve had. Overall a great experience.
Judith
Excellent site and accommodation
Peter
Lovely holiday, great location, we have been twice now, will go again sometime.
Louisa
Lovely, spacious lodge on a well kept, quiet site. Quality amenities especially very warm swimming pool. Professional, friendly staff. A great family holiday!
Louisa
The only thing I would suggest is that the site could do with a little shop , it’s quite a walk ( downhill , up in way back ) to any kind of place you could get soft drink or snacks that doesn’t involve the prices in the restaurant bar Lovely relaxing location , gorgeous accommodation and helpful friendly staff My only negative was whilst I appreciate we were staying around the fishing lake and so there would be people around using this I would suggest those that pay to camp at the lake overnight are asked not to set themselves up directly outside occupied lodges My daughter and I had a man set up his tent about 10 meters from our front door and he was there for 24 hours , this made us uncomfortable to be out on the patio ( especially when using the hot tub ) and made me very security conscious overnight , there was plenty of other places around the lake he could have set up
