Fingle Glen Lodges

Good as long as you don't expect too much - the lodge was spacious, nice and clean and we felt a good place for exploring south Devon it was only let down by some repair issues and lack of the promised fishing Staff at the bar were very pleasant and the food was excellent

The “3 piece” chair was obviously part of a set of which I guess was elsewhere. It wasn’t possible to lean on the arm as I would unclip and collapse. The cleaner was called out to clean the oven which was in a disgusting state. Also the oven shelves didn’t fit the oven.The bed was comfortable though

Lodge could do with being updated lodge is in need of some repairs and refurbishment bits missing or broken

Overall brilliant, had a brilliant time! Felt comfortable and relaxed

Disappointed with the state of the site and the condition of the property so many faults I would need to write a book.

Pleasant lodge in beautiful surroundings. Limited facilities on site, but easy access to the local areas. Our hot tub was lovely and overall was a very comfortable stay.

Disappointed, Lodge very tired and hot tub not good.Grounds unkempt and like a building site.Very disappointed and won't be coming back.

Arrived to freezing cold lodge, heating had not been turned up for our arrival even though weather had been very cold. Windows also left partially open. Very tired lodge even though we booked superior one !! broken hot tub cover which was dangerous !!also broken arm leaver. No heating in 2nd bathroom where shower is. Also dishwasher door was broken . Dirty stained Duvet & pillows. When we told reception about issues they just said nobody had reported any of the issues so obviously they never check cleaners work or maintenance team.Have been staying in Lodges for years. This is definitely the worst. Only good thing was Location !! Would not recommend until things change dramatically. This Liodge was definitely not Superior !!!!

Hot tub was cold when we arrived at 5pm, we had been told it would be ready so dissapointed it didn't get up to temperature on the first night.

Lids hinge was broken and dangerous.

As we had to depart before 9am the hot tub was emptied at 8am meaning we couldn't use on departure day either. Good job we stayed 4 nights as staying forc2 night would have meant hot tub not really accessible.

Relaxing break in the fabulous surroundings of the golf course. Neat and clean.

We were lucky as being retired we were able to take advantage of seasonal discounted rates.

Extremely happy will most definitely be using again above expectations for us highly recommend

This is the second time we have booked this lodge would certainly book again so peaceful and relaxing

Amazing for start to end

Apart from the things we weren't happy with it is a great place.

Overall maintenance needs a little tlc. Some minor problems eg bathroom sink not draining, broken wardrobe all reported to reception otherwise good accommodation.

Fantastic location for a peaceful getaway with close friends. Layout means you have a lot of privacy. Lovely spacious lodge, more than ample facilities inside (full oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, shower and bath etc). Very clean inside. Hot tub was fantastic, at temperature when we arrived and the chemical levels were checked every day by a member of staff. Love the outside seating area. Will definitely be returning.
Only negative would be that the waitress service in the club restaurant could have been better - staff didn't appear familiar with the drinks available or the menu and they didn't appear to communicate very well with each other. However the food was lovely.

Lovely cabin which is much bigger than it looks, overlooks Hole 1 on the golf course but due to the time of year we visited, this wasn't an issue as until the Monday morning no-one was playing golf.
If you are going to visit a supermarket, I would suggest visiting the Sainsbury's as advised in the guide book - we thought we'd visit a Tesco the same distance away but this took us up in the hills down little one way country lanes & took much longer due to this.
The only issue we found really was there was no tea-towel or anything provided for drying cups / plates & this isn't something we would ever bring as we have stayed in a lot of This companies properties & a tea-towel has always been provided, there was only 1 baking tray for the oven - could do with one or two more & all of the symbols have rubbed off the oven so it's quite difficult to figure out what setting you have got it in - we put food in and hoped for the best.
The hot tub is brilliant - biggest one we've ever had, wasn't fully hot until around 11pm on the first night due to it being fully drained as the last people had got glass in it. Not sure how when plastic wine & pint glasses are provided for use in the tub.
Nice little place & good for the money we paid - we'd go back for the same price.

Would definitely come back and recomend to others

The only problem with cabin was that the bath tap was broken and so we couldn't have a bath

Good size lodge with great views. There kitchen wasn't stocked with all of the utensils we have had in other lodges. Double bed was two singles pushed together, the headboards overlapped and weren't fixed on.

A good relaxing holiday on a lovely golf course with club house. Conveniently located for travelling to surrounding areas.

This is the third time we have stayed here. It is a lovely quiet place, where we can relax.

No problem in recomending the facility to any one ,we will be going back

Large spacious lodge. Very clean. Washing machine, large fridge freezer. Good quality furnishings. Has iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Roomy double room with ensuite and twin room. Has separate toilet and shower. These lodges suit both families and couples. Had a great time. Lovely views.

Good value for money, not much to fault. Bear in mind it is a golf course, so it doesn’t really have a kiddie play area. It’s about 30-40 minute drive to the beach, farms, parks etc Enjoyed our stay, good value for money. One gripe is they try and sting you an extra 5quid a day for WiFi. This is a con and something standard that needs to be in the price. Also not all the jets on the hottub work, and self clean isn’t very efficient.

The lodges are lovely, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We came away with our 10 year old son and grandma and the 2 bedroom lodge was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend and will be back! The meal we had at the club was delicious and brilliant that you get a discount as a resident. Such good value for the quality of food. Perfectly located, close to Exeter and lovely seaside towns. Lots to do!

Really great lodge! The two bed we stayed in was massive. All the facilities you need are there, especially kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster) as well as TV with free view channels. No wifi though. Hot tub was great! Located right by the lodge’s front door. Could adjust temperature, lights etc. Parking right by the lodge too - useful. Location great too. About 10-15mins drive from Exeter where there’s loads of restaurants, good high street, the Quay, historic areas. Overall great experience, 10/10.
