Visitor Reviews of Millendreath Beach Resort

Donald
Date of stay: 9th October 2024
The chalet was very “tired”, there was cracked plaster all along one wall, plaster missing by the door. The skirting boards looked rotten in places and the bathroom floor was very uneven. Every time the toilet was flushed or the bathroom sink was used there was an extremely loud noise from below the kitchen sink and the tap ran even though it was switched off. If Hoseasons spend a bit of money addressing the decor and a little bit of maintenance then the chalet would be perfect.

Clean, comfortable lodge, always room for improvement (no matter where I stay) but nothing major. Modern white, clean cut style, which I really like. Love the floor to ceiling windows, no problem with Wi-Fi, tv adequate. Wish it had a table and some comfy chairs on the decking, it was a wooden pub style bench, shame it wasted the decking area. Would stay again, as I liked the location and the quietness.

Very good holiday accommodation. Near the beach accommodation clean and everything provided. Unfortunately left items in villa and could not talk to anybody about retrieving them not returning are phone calls, did phone before cleaning staff arrived but no luck there either.

Shame the soiled mattress and cleanliness let down overall comfort rating.

The location is lovely, literally a 2 minute walk to the beach. Booking was straightforward and checking instructions were clear. The apartment had so much potential, however it wasn’t the cleanest. Our towels had strange brown strains, the plates were greasy and the bed was falling apart. But I guess this could be reflective of the price we paid.

Good site to use as a base well within walking and travel distance to some lovely places.Site is dated and could do with some TLC as could the chalets, fuses kept tripping very few utensils, beds were comfy and chalet was clean, WiFi none existent in several chalets except for the ones with permanent residents living in them.Good value for money off season would not think it is value in season with a price hike. Would use again because all we require is a clean quiet place to use as a base.

Apartment clean and comfortable some minor maintenance and decorating issues but nothing to spoil our holiday. Very good value for money. Lovely fluffy towels and clean bedding. Nice welcome pack....to include salt and pepper would be an idea.....but no complaints!!

Really nice place being let down by the small things that really should have been picked before arrival of the guests. Hair all over the floor, radiator not working in the front room, WiFi slow, cupboard door damaged. The thing that really angered me was the cigarette ends that were left on the decking, my dog was with us on this break so myself and my partner had to go round cleaning up before we could officially start our break. The accommodation itself is lovely, with a nearby beach, you can hear the waves from the living area whilst having your morning brew. I believe that if the above issues were rectified then a lot of these 3 star reviews would turn into 5.

Old, rundown, tied, not overly clean, deadly steps, car park with more pot holes than I've ever see.A lovely location but let down but the shanty town looking site from the car park.

Lovely accommodation. Could hear the waves breaking. Bliss.Would be nice to have a sponge, small dish washing liquid and dishcloth supplied. There are no shops to these at short notice. The deck needed to be cleaned of old debris.

Our holiday at Sea Retreat was no more than okay. The location was great and the view of the beach was lovely to wake up to but those are the only things I would compliment about the resort. The place needed a lot of maintenance and TLC, there were marks all over the floor, cutlery wasn’t clean, funny smell from the day we arrived. Wasn’t made clear that you’d have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the chalet, so after having a knee injury this wasn’t ideal at all. Along with this, the stairs were very very slippery from the rain and there were no lights to see where you were going when it got darker - this was a massive health and safety hazard. We were provided with one toilet roll to last four days, no kitchen roll, no washing up sponge or liquid, no tea towel. I would not be recommending and I would not stay again.

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank Read moreyou! Hide
