Visitor Reviews of Sunnydale

Really impressed with the space and added luxuries.

At first glance, the caravan looked alright, pretty standard for a stay. But once we looked closer, it was clear the cleaners only did a surface job-wrappers under the bed and stains on the mattress were pretty off-putting. We also got bitten a lot, which was a nightmare. On the last day, we stripped the beds and found bed bugs, which was just the worst. The staff at the pool weren’t very friendly and the changing rooms really needed a good clean. Not what we expected, sadly.

Overall, we had a nice stay, but the muddy grass parking spots were a pain. Walking on wet grass to reach the caravans wasn’t ideal, especially after rain. Would be better if they fixed that.

We stayed in a lovely little caravan that’s perfect if you’re after somewhere cosy. It’s got one bedroom with a wardrobe and dressing space, plus a shower and toilet. The kitchen is fully stocked - everything you’d need! The lounge with a TV and Netflix was great for chilling. Location-wise, it’s spot on for visiting Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes and Skegness. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend it!

The Buttercup Caravan was cosy, but my partner found it a bit cramped for just one bedroom.

We found this campsite to be really charming, with a fantastic location that’s away from the hustle but still close enough to shops and the seaside. The caravan was spotless, modern and had everything we needed, making it super cosy. The kids loved the outdoor play area and fishing lake, though the pool was a nice bonus. Only thing was, since it was midweek, the kids’ entertainment wasn’t running, which was a bit of a shame. Still, a lovely little spot overall!

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. The caravan was filthy and there weren’t any towels provided, which was a pain. The swimming pool was closed on the second day and there’s really not much for kids to do here - family entertainment is pretty limited, so we just ended up using the meal area. The worst part was no phone signal or internet, even on our own phones! Sorry to be honest, but we’ve travelled a lot and this isn’t a place we’d recommend. Good luck to anyone thinking of staying here.

We had a really lovely holiday, even with the rainy days. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help, which made everything easier. The kids loved the pool activities and had a great time. Evening entertainment was a nice bonus and it was great to see the grandchildren join in the quiz without any fuss.

When we first arrived, we thought the place was spotless, honestly a solid 10 on cleanliness. But by the end of our stay, we found a twin mattress that was really stained and quite dirty. It was disappointing because we’d expected better, especially after seeing how clean everything looked initially. If we’d noticed the stains earlier, we definitely would’ve asked for a replacement. It’s a shame because the rest of the caravan was pretty tidy, but this really let it down.

We recently stayed in this caravan and honestly, it’s pretty spot on. The sofa was super comfy and the place was spotless. Loved the modern USB ports and the TV with a DVD player. Everything we needed was there, which was great! Definitely recommend.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but there was one little hiccup. We wanted to pop into the club for a drink in the evening, but since we weren’t eating that night, they wouldn’t let us in, even though we’d had lunch there earlier. The security guy checked with someone inside and was told to send us through, but then he refused because we weren’t eating that evening. We explained we’d already eaten, but he said they didn’t want people taking up space meant for diners. It was a bit of a letdown, honestly. But apart from that, the rest of the trip was fantastic and this was just a minor inconvenience. Still, it was a shame we couldn’t enjoy the vibe a bit more!

We had such a lovely week at Sunnydale, definitely planning to return! The site was spotless, super welcoming staff and the location couldn't be better. The walk to see the seals on the beach was absolutely stunning! Thanks a lot!

Date of stay: 4th October 2019
The park itself is lovely and in a really handy spot. We just think it’s a shame dogs aren’t allowed inside the pub - it would make things a lot easier, especially when the weather’s bad. Dogs are generally better behaved than kids and way cleaner, so it’s a missed opportunity not to have a designated area indoors.

Amazing place, will definitely be back x
Michelle
We had an amazing stay. The only negatives was that when we arrived on the hottest day of the year so far the central heating was on. There was no need for this. It took ages for the caravan to cool down. It also took a while to find the caravan. The number was on the rear therefore could not be seen from the road. The caravan was big enough for 2 people and had plenty of crockery etc. The site was really nice and in a great location. 2 pubs within walking distance. You would need a vehicle to get around. Caravan and site was very clean.
