We had an amazing weekend here and really enjoyed our stay. The place was perfect for what we needed and our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating - they loved it! The garden was a hit too. Luna’s tail got strained from all the wagging, but that just shows how much fun everyone had. We’ll definitely be back!

We really had a great time staying here! Sharon and Robert were lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archie, our dog. The location was spot on, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted plus other villages are just gorgeous to explore. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, which was just what we needed. Would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic time! Sharon and Robert really made us feel at home, which was lovely. The place had everything we needed-spotlessly clean, comfy and safe for our dog Archie. The location was perfect, with loads of walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted to explore. We definitely felt refreshed after our week away. All in all, a relaxing getaway we’d happily do again!

We had such a lovely stay at this place! The location is stunning and super private, which we really appreciated. The owners are really friendly and always available if needed, but they respect your privacy totally. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day-it’s just perfect for unwinding. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us after a while, but it might be something for sensitive sleepers to consider. Overall, a great spot!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself is adorable, with charming timber details and a really powerful shower that was much appreciated after a day out walking. The bed was super comfy and the cosy kitchen and lounge made evenings perfect. Parking right next door was a big bonus and the place was spotless. Great base for exploring Thaxted and its beautiful countryside-definitely recommended!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two tiny dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! They made friends in the charming village of Thaxted, which was lovely to explore. The cottage itself was quite charming and the hot tub was a real highlight, especially since it was scorchingly hot outside - the cooled water felt so nice after a day in the sun. The hosts were super welcoming and genuinely friendly and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day. Plus, watching the planes land near Stansted was pretty fascinating! We’d definitely recommend it.

We just got back from a really nice week at Goddards Mead. The place is super well stocked with everything you'd want. The hosts are lovely and friendly, making us feel right at home. Even on a busy farm, it’s surprisingly peaceful. We loved it!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, tucked away on a working farm but surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely folks. The space inside is generous and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped - no complaints there! The bed was super comfy, which is always a plus. The garden is really peaceful, dog-proof and furnished nicely. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean, spacious and modern, which was great. The outdoor decking was a lovely touch for relaxing outside in the sunshine. A bit more storage in the bathrooms would’ve been handy and the microwave could be more powerful. The toilet roll holders were a tad too low, but overall, it was a comfortable spot!

We spent a fantastic week here from 15 to 22 July with our two adorable mini dachshunds. They had a great time making new friends in the lovely village of Thaxted. The cottage itself was charming and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the hot summer days when the water was cool and super refreshing. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming; it was lovely to see their dogs out in the fields too. Being close to Stansted’s flight path added some entertainment watching the planes land. We’d definitely recommend it!

Caravan site was lovely just off the beach, the actual caravan was basic but also very nice, had all the amenities we needed for our stay. There is plenty of pubs/restaurants a 2 minute walk from the site. We had a great time and will definitely be returning next year ?
