Visitor Reviews of Rookery Manor Lodges

Date of stay: 3rd April 2025
The location is spot on with plenty nearby to explore and the park itself is nicely situated. Would be great to have more electric charging points, though and cheaper EV charging options too!

We had such a lovely stay at Rookery Manor Lodges. The place is really spacious and had everything we needed. It was spotless when we arrived and the staff we met were so friendly and professional. Communication from booking to checkout was spot on. Definitely a place we’d return to, no doubt!

The lodge was super tidy and nicely decorated, really comfortable too. The mattresses leaned a bit soft for my taste, but others might love it.

We really enjoyed our stay! The site itself isn’t much in terms of activities, but it’s perfect for a quick escape from the hustle. Having Brean, Weston and Burnham all within half an hour was handy for days out. Plenty of pubs nearby for food and we even got Chinese and Indian deliveries straight to the lodge - that was a bonus! Our lodge had everything we needed and worked perfectly. We’ve stayed in both the lodges and the bungalows, but honestly, the lodge is our favourite. We’ll definitely be returning!

We loved the cosy lodge, felt just like home. It’s in a quiet spot, so not much happening if you’ve got kids, but perfect for relaxing.

We had such a lovely stay at the lodge! The setting was stunning and everything was really clean, with plenty of space to relax. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - so relaxing! Only minor issues were the sofa placement for TV viewing and the mattress wasn’t the comfiest, but we’d still recommend it for sure!

We recently booked a short getaway here for my partner’s 60th birthday and honestly, it was a pretty lovely experience overall. We chose a lodge with parking right next to it, which made everything so much easier and found the one we picked to be quite new, spotlessly clean and well-equipped for our stay. The grounds around the lodge are just stunning - really well-maintained with breathtaking views and the hot tub was definitely a highlight! Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One thing that caught our eye was the double mattress in the main bedroom; unfortunately, it had sagged badly on one side, which was quite noticeable even when the bed was made. It’s a shame because everything else was so well looked after and the laundry supplies were all spotless. We didn’t see many staff or other guests during our visit, so we’re not sure about the history of the place, but it looks like it used to have a restaurant, spa and other facilities. We noticed some groundworks for new lodges going on, but it didn’t interfere with our stay at all. There’s a small coffee shop/bar on-site, but it was only open during very limited hours, which was a bit disappointing - it felt like a missed opportunity, especially since the infrastructure is already there. Hopefully, once they reopen it, it’ll add even more to the stay. Location-wise, this site is spot on - beaches at Burnham and Brean are just a few miles away and places like Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and the Tor are all within easy reach. The site itself is a nice size - not too big, not too small - and I really hope it stays this way because we’d love to come back. All in all, a lovely spot that’s definitely high on our list for future visits!

Overall, the place is lovely, but the constant barking from the dogs really disturbed our peace and quiet.

Date of stay: 14th August 2024
The lodge was lovely and the hot tub was a real bonus. However, the cleaning wasn’t up to scratch, unfortunately. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall.

Date of stay: 7th August 2024
We recently stayed at the Pine Lodge and honestly, it was lovely. The space inside was really generous and it had everything we needed for a comfy stay. The beds were quite firm, but that didn't bother everyone, just my personal preference. The decking offered a beautiful view of the hills and you could catch a tiny peek of the motorway, though it’s surprisingly quiet. The whole site is well looked after, even with some ongoing upgrades. We had a really relaxing break and definitely want to come back soon. Would recommend!

We loved the location, even though they're still adding lodges, it didn’t bother us at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. If more lodges are built, a small bistro would make it perfect - we'd definitely stay again!
Emma
Date of stay: 5th August 2024
The place is in a lovely spot, not overlooked at all, which is a big plus. It’s a shame about the building work and the leisure facilities being gone, but the hot tub and comfy sofas make up for it. The decking could do with a clean, though and we appreciated all the towels provided. Having a TV in the bedroom was a nice touch, really made it feel homely. Overall, a decent stay despite some minor issues!

Date of stay: 21st July 2024
We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, the view from the back was lovely, really peaceful. The place was spotless, which was great. Sadly, the rest of the grounds looked like a building site, so not much to enjoy outside. We brought our toddler and dog, but there’s really nowhere nice nearby to walk and no facilities on-site for that. The hot tub was a real highlight, super relaxing, though you could hear the M5 nearby which was a bit of a shame. Also, it would’ve been better if they’d knocked to let us know the hot tub was about to be checked - a bit of a surprise seeing someone appear on the terrace! Still, overall, a decent stay.

Date of stay: 19th May 2024
We stayed at this lovely lodge and honestly, it had pretty much everything we needed for a comfy holiday. The place was spotless and felt really homely. The only thing was, if you're 5’4” or taller, you might bump into some lampshades in the twin bedroom and living area; the other rooms are a bit higher up so no worries there. Beds and pillows come down to personal taste and I ended up trying all three before settling on a single because the others were too soft for me. Outside, the decking was great with a nice patio set and hot tub, though a parasol for shade would’ve been perfect. The noise from the M5 was a bit annoying at times, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Date of stay: 25th March 2024
Honestly, we loved this place! The location is spot on, right next to the M5, making it super easy to get around, plus it's near some lovely beach towns. We even took a day trip to Cardiff on the Sunday - so convenient. The lodge itself was really cosy and having a dishwasher and washing machine felt like a real treat. Only tiny thing was that it’d be handy to have a few more kitchen bits like scissors. The hot tub was a definite highlight, such a relaxing touch after a day out. The owners were absolutely lovely, so helpful from the get-go. We’re already planning our next trip back - can’t wait!
Claire
Date of stay: 24th March 2024
We loved our stay! The lodge was spotless, stylish and had a lovely modern vibe. Everything we needed was provided and the hot tub was just perfect-warm and inviting for our early spring break. Definitely recommend!
Emma
Date of stay: 20th March 2024
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect and the facilities were spot on. The only thing is, the bedroom’s quite bright at night and dawn-bring an eye mask!
Alex
Date of stay: 5th March 2024
We recently stayed at Rookery Manor Lodges and honestly, it was quite the experience. The gated entrance with a personalised code made us feel secure right from the start. Driving in, the lodges looked stunning - really modern and well-maintained. The welcome pack was full of useful info, including a handy map that clearly marked our lodge and the best routes to get there. The lodge itself was spotless and had everything we needed; it was really comfortable. We especially appreciated the little booklet on local attractions, shops and eateries - super helpful. Karen, the owner, was lovely and quick to respond if we needed anything, plus she sent a friendly message after we arrived just to check everything was okay. The hot tub was already warm when we arrived and it was checked regularly throughout the week. The views from the lodge in the mornings and evenings were simply breathtaking. We’d definitely recommend it to friends and family and can’t wait to come back in summer for another great break!
Emma
Date of stay: 18th February 2024
We had a lovely time at Cedar Lodge! The hot tub was fantastic and the lodge had everything we needed. Really enjoyed exploring the surrounding area too.
John
Had a lovely few days at Rookery Manor lodges. The lodge was finished to a high standard and the hot tub was great. The site was very quiet with no facilities so may not suit families with young children.
Carl
Lovely 5 day break away. Beautiful Location. Very Quiet, Even with the M5 being Nearby.
James
Great place
Charelene
We loved our stay at Rookery Manor, just the perfect getaway for our 1st doggy family holiday, loads of great sight seeing of the picturesque villages near by, and only a drive away from amenities. And Karen on arrival was very very helpful and lovely. The lodge its self was wonderfully spacious and of a very high specification, also the decking area and area to the side of the lodge was all enclosed so very safe to let Archie our boxer dog run and play around. And the hot tub was an added bonus, we will definitely be coming back. So overall very highly recommended xx
Patricia
Near to Weston super mare, easy to find, very high quality lodge's with everything you need, smart TV with Netflix and prime video not just Freeview. Seating area at the front with a hot tub if you want it. Mi
Maxine
Lovely lodge great surroundings. Lodge really spacious & clean with all that you need. Lovely area for dogs. Brand new holiday park so decking at front of lodge not very private but will be lovely once plants are established. The hotel is closed but the spa is open. Lovely Indian restaurant not far away. When using Sat Nav mine kept trying to use the M5 as it’s close to the holiday park use the A370 for most journeys. Would recommend this holiday park.
Maria
First time visiting this relatively new site, the hotel and restaurant are not there now, although still advertised on google. There is a spa which we did not use. The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings, but the sound of the M5 close by could be annoying for some, but it did not bother me at all. Karen was very helpful and was always available and just a phone call away.
Shannon
Perfect! Absolutely perfect! 10/10
Carole
enjoyed our stay in the lodge. Very well equipped with high end tv's in bedrooms. One small niggle though. A coffee machine was available, but as a trio of tea drinkers we would have appreciated a teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl!!
Caroline
We had a great mini break and couldn’t have asked for better weather for our stay. The accommodation was perfect our only slight complaint would be the matteresses they weren’t very comfortable and you could feel the springs. Even though the site is under renovation you wouldn’t know it. It will be a lovely park once it’s finished and I and miss family would visit again for sure.
Claire
Plum lodge was an amazing location for a midweek break. Ideally located for all the sights we wanted to see. We loved the hot tub but just a small suggestion: as it is at the front of the lodge by the small parking area it might be nicer to have the smoked glass panels on the veranda going completely around the hot tub as it did on the neighbouring lodge. Just provides a bit more privacy from cars entering the car park then the correct picket style panels. Other then that we loved it and looking to book again for next year.
Kate
Wow, everything about the lodge was luxurious. It included absolutely everything needed during our stay. We loved everything about the lodge and the hot tub. With such beautiful surroundings, it was a shame that there wasn't any family friendly walks. As the only way to exit is on a country lane without any pavements, we didn't feel we could walk with young children. We all had such an amazing stay and couldn't fault anything about the lodge and will definitely be booking to stay here again.
Samantha
Lovely and clean! Close to beaches. Loved fresh milk shop in the way in. And hot tube is as great
Jenny
It was a lovely spot for a very relaxed weekend. No where was too far away and we had the added bonus of takeaway deliveries. The lodge had everything you could need and the hot tub was bliss.
