Our autumn break at Oathill Farm Lodges was truly wonderful! The cabin was super cosy, spotless and kept warm throughout our stay. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was a real treat after a day out. The owners were lovely-friendly, helpful and full of local tips. Plus, we got to try some fantastic homegrown peppers. We’d definitely come back!

We had a fantastic week at Oathill Farm Lodges! The lodges had everything we needed and the hot tub was such a treat after a day out. We really appreciated the lack of internet - it was a perfect chance to unwind and spend proper quality time together as a family. You could tell the lodge was dog-friendly, especially with the slightly worn sofa, but honestly, it didn’t impact comfort at all. The location is brilliant, with loads of things nearby that are great for both kids and dogs - even a farm to visit! Huge thanks to Nicky and Adrian for such a warm welcome and all their local tips. We loved it!

The lodge was really lovely and had everything we could ask for. Very comfy stay, just what we needed! No WiFi, but we knew that beforehand so it wasn’t an issue.

We loved the tranquil setting and the tidy grounds. The shower block was really nice and clean, which is always a plus. The only thing to watch out for is that the lodges run purely on electric-no gas. We appreciated Carol giving us a heads-up and calling before our stay to sort out bedding. Overall, quite a pleasant stay!

We honestly had a fantastic time at Oathill. The staff were so warm and welcoming, it really made us feel at home. Our lodge was spotless and comfy and the location was perfect for exploring. There’s plenty to keep you busy and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great holiday spot!

Honestly, the cabin didn’t have a shower, just a bath, which was a bit of a let-down. I ended up using the shared shower facilities-they’re really great, super clean and well-stocked. Luckily, the weather was gorgeous, so it wasn’t a problem. If it had been cold, I’d have been more bothered!

Date of stay: 16th September 2016
We stayed at this lovely lodge and loved the peaceful park. The only gripe was the DVD player; it was tucked away in the second bedroom with no comfy seats to watch films properly. Would have been great if it was in the living room instead. Still, a nice place overall!
Emma, Crewkerne
Date of stay: 2nd September 2016
Overall, the lodge was lovely, but a shower instead of a bath would’ve been nicer. The on-site showers, however, were really good!

We loved the peaceful vibe here! The lodges are super modern and have everything you could need. The family-run feel makes it extra special and we were made to feel really welcome. The tearoom is a lovely touch - perfect for a relaxing break.

Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was stunning and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
Oliver, Kilsby, Rugby, Warwickshire.
Date of stay: 22nd May 2015
We stayed at the lodge and honestly, we couldn't find a single fault with it. The place felt just like a home from home. If I had to suggest anything, it’d be replacing that second toilet with a shower cubicle - I think that’d make the lodges even more appealing and attract more guests. Apart from that, it was spot on!
Emily, Purton
Date of stay: 10th April 2015
The lodge had a lovely vibe, but a closer spot for coats would’ve been handy, even though we didn’t need them now!
Lucy, Buckinghamshire
Date of stay: 12th September 2014
We absolutely loved the lodge! The only reason we took one mark off was because the hand shower in the bathroom was a bit of a nuisance—it kept flying off the taps, so we couldn't really use it for a shower. Still, it hasn't put us off at all because the lodge is truly great!
Tom, Newport Wales
Date of stay: 8th August 2014
We had a really good holiday in Dorset! The lodges were nice and centrally located, which made it easy to explore the area. Definitely a great spot for a getaway.
Lucy, Staffordshire
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
Had everything we needed and when we mentioned we didn’t have a kettle they fixed the issue straight away!
Clare, Brighton
Date of stay: 11th July 2014
Without a doubt, one of the best lodges we've ever stayed in! It's got all the mod cons and is really spacious. The location is super quiet and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Lucy's tea rooms right on site.
Charlotte
We loved staying at this charming little cottage, especially the hot tub and log burner. The hosts were lovely, very welcoming too. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic. Immaculate lodge, everything you could need inside. Outside stunning scenery, beautifully maintained grounds. Hot tub was a perfect addition. All in all great experience, we have already booked for next year! Thank you!
Andrew
If you're looking for a quiet location set in lovely countryside, this is ideal. There aren't any facilities on site, but the accommodation was excellent and all the staff we met were great.
Pauline
A lovely lodge in a rural setting but within reach of the coast and main towns of Somerset and Dorset. We had a very warm welcome from the site managers and we were impressed with how tidy and clean they kept the site. Thank you to them also for the information they gave us about walks in the locality. It really made our holiday one to remember.
Laura
Our stay at Oathill was absolutely lovely, we will be back. Owners super friendly, lodge was spotless 100%
Ron
Perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Lack of internet access was a mixed blessing. Thoroughly recommended.
Donna
Warm welcome, lovely quiet spot.
Amanda
Had a very enjoyable and relaxing week at Oathill. The hot tub was great and checked daily to ensure the water quality was good. I feel the lodge would benefit from a proper shower instead of the tap attachment, although we used the onsite showers and due to only the lodges being in use there were no queues, but I can imagine them being very busy once more tents/caravans were on the site. The dog walking field is a great idea, ours especially enjoyed a run off lead, despite running into a wire fence due to the long grass on the perimeter! We will definitely return one day ?
Clare
We had a fabulous time at Oat Hill Farm, staying in Cherry Tree lodge. The setting was peaceful and beautiful and we would have liked more time to explore the area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our only query was although we enjoyed meeting the emus on the farm, we decided against following the footpath through their field as we weren't sure if they would have welcomed us!
Caroline
My two sisters and I booked this for a weekend getaway and it was everything we hoped for. the facilities were great and the hot tub very welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable and I'd definitely look to come back again even if we did it the traditional camping way.
Valerie
Beautiful lodge in small but stunning grounds. Ideal for a quiet break. Lodge was immaculate and was very well equipped. Very clean and had wow factor when first entered property. Grounds immaculate. Manager came to see if we were happy.Would return again.
Steve
Lovely peaceful location, very well looked after, See you again soon.
Aaron
