Amazing stay.Lodge very well equipped. Everything we could need for our stay. Lovely, quality bedding.Bathrooms very well equipped, down to the mats for the inside and outside of the bath and shower.

There is a definite decline in the lodges. The shower return has been removed, the floor in the bathroom is soft, probably from water penetration. The laminate around the basin is lifting - all little things which take away from the lodge being the. luxury accommodation it was when we first started visiting.

Great place but with being isolated it would have been so much nicer if the bar had been open into the evening

Lodge was lovely and clean, and the facilities were good. The lodge was very comfortable and had a lovely outside area too. Our fire did not work (thankfully not too cold) and the TVs did bot have any children’s channels tuned in, and the remote was a bit intermittent.

A pleasant stay in a lovely setting but better maintenance of the lodges is required to prevent the standard of accommodation dropping. In particular the bathrooms are showing wear and tear.

Comfy bed, great bathroom with bath and shower. Efficient heating. For a long weekend the kitchenette was fine and everything you need was there. The sofa is looking a bit shabby but was still comfortable enough.

Everything we required for a 3 night stay, no cooking facilities as such, but we had read that, loved the accommodation

I’ve stayed in this place twice and the first visit was great unfortunately in the last two years there seems to have been a drop in standards for the cleaning of the lodges. On the First night of arrival to my wife’s horror on removing the top cover of the bed there was blood stains everywhere including her pillows. Unfortunately there was no one available to call as it was late in the night. Voicemail left on the answering machine but no one returned call in the morning until I called into reception at 11:00am. Explained to the manager what the problem was and felt that we were just being a bit of a burden on him until I showed him the pictures of the blood stains. Then he decided to call house keeping to change bedding. Just to finish it off the shower and shower head could do with a good clean. Apart from that everything else was fine. Not even a sorry was said for the inconvenience. Just shame to see the standards drop in a lovely place.

Lodge was great, nice decor, plenty of space, good kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, utensils etc). TVs had no freeview, which was a bit odd and disappointing to our kids who are addicted to CBeebies ;-)

Wonderful long weekend at Bath Mill Lodge retreat in January. We stayed at no 28 which was a Pemberley lodge. Modern, clean accommodation and very warm despite the cold temperature outside. Kitchen facilities were great and we didn't need to take anything with us re utensils etc. Main bathroom and en-suite were spacious and lots of hot water. Great storage room at the rear which I've never encountered in a lodge before. Perfect to store luggage. The location was very quiet and peaceful as no facilities other than a small gym and restaurant, which closed by 9pm each day. Lodges were thoughtfully spaced apart and ours overlooked the brook running through the area. It must be lovely to walk across the bridges along the brook to venture into the woodland during the drier season. We were lucky to be visited by a deer outside our lodge! We got a taxi into Bath for the day which cost £11 each way and took 10 minutes. Great place to stay if you want to stay close to Bath but also enjoy a quiet break away.

The lodge itself was well appointed with everything we needed. It felt nice, very clean and cozy. The only thing I would say, not so much for me and my partner but maybe for others that want to watch tv. More streaming apps on the tv would have been nice.

The lodge smelled of wet dogs when we arrived but it was clean and there was not a pet hair in sight. I’m not sure why they allow 3 dogs in the lodge when it is right next to the brook. There are 2 large en-suite bedrooms divided by a central living area with shiny black sofas and tv on the wall. The kitchen space was badly planned. Half of it is taken up by an extremely long wooden dining table complete with 6 chairs – this despite sleeping a maximum of 4 guests. This meant the actual kitchen area was tiny. There were no cupboards for food, and the only surface space for preparing meals is above the fridge, which has a small ice box serving as a freezer. I’d say the bedrooms/bathrooms are 5 star the rest of the lodge is 2 star.

As our 5th stay at Bath Mill this year we were aware of the shortfalls & limitations of the lodges on site due to the ageing estate. This said, having booked one of the premium Lodges we hoped that the facilities would be of a better quality than the smaller Lodges. Unfortunately this was not the case & in fact the Lodge was even more in need of refurbishment. The Boiler pressure needed treatment on arrival, the main bathroom smelt of urine (which remained throughout our visit despite constant cleansing), the En Suites displayed mould, the Kitchen white goods were the same size as the smallest Lodges on site & barely adequate for 8 persons, the Oven was a possible fire hazard as the adjoining Drawer unit snagged the control panel & the oven door, the fridge & freezer doors also snagged each other, with the freezer in need of a defrost. Finally the TV service is Archaic at best, with very poor service (10 of 37 channels off air) & no options of getting additional services via Wi Fi. All these issues were left with Reception on our departure as we did not wish to mar our break by calling out the maintenance team during the festive period.

A beautiful spacious lodge with great facilities. A lot bigger than it looks on the website. Clean and tidy with everything we needed. The beds and floorboards are incredibly creaky so every time I got out of bed or turned over it made a lot of noise. The bathrooms are amazing. Great whirlpool baths and shower with his and her sink. However the underfloor heating didn't work so it was freezing cold stone. Going to the toilet was a very cold experience. Lots of great things to say with just a few tweaks needed to make it 5 star.
CLAIRE
Great holiday in a good location. Lovely lodge, very spacious with luxury bathrooms. Great decked area with nice outdoor furniture.
Deborah
Bath Mill LR offers lovely lodges in a nice location. Only a short drive into Bath centre. Really appreciated the restaurant/bar on site offering a great outdoor seating area. Staff were lovely, very helpful. We took our dog, which was well provided for.
Jonathan
We had one minor hiccup on the first evening arrived back at lodge and no electricity. The caretaker arrived in five minutes but the repair needed a professional who turned up 15 minutes later who repaired the fault. All done in 45 mins from being given fault fantastic clean retreat. Had a great holiday would recommend five star accommodation and staff.
Kerry
Very easy, lovely lodge and surroundings. Staff very polite and helpful, I failed to find any negatives. Would 100% recomend. Thanks.
Louise
Fantastic location very close to bath. Lovely quiet surroundings for a relaxing holiday. On site pub was very nice but has reduced opening times. Hot tubs would be an additional feature which i feel would make this the perfect break. Will definitely return and recommend.
Bob
This is our 3rd visit to Bath Mill. Management need to pay attention to the performance of their maintenance and inspection staff if they are to achieve the 10 rating that we gave previously. Examples: 1. Wine/drinks cooler not working. 2. Bedroom light not working 3. Ensuite extractor fan turned off 4. Mould on shower surround 5. No cafetiere provided. Previously one was provided and should continue to be the standard at a lodge of this quality and price.
Alison
The lodge was amazing , very roomy for 4 people , the surroundings were lovely , it would have been nice to have a little shop for essentials , eg , milk , bread etc plus a newspaper . Staff were helpful and friendly .
Jeanie
Lovely peaceful holiday
Carol
Great time . Well maintained chalets. Leather suite hot and sticky in heat wave.
Darran
Long weekend min break, well resourced lodge, well maintained and clean. Beautiful park area, immaculately kept with great staff.
