The staff were friendly and really helpful. The place is pretty and it’s just five minutes from the park and ride. Great location, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

We’ve stayed here quite a few times now and always find it a lovely spot to unwind. The location’s really handy for exploring Bath and the surrounding areas - just a quick five-minute bus ride from the stop nearby. The staff at reception are genuinely friendly and always happy to help, which makes a difference. The site itself is peaceful and well-kept, with parking right next to the lodges, which is such a bonus. Our lodge was spacious, nicely laid out and the beds are super comfy - we slept like logs! We’ve stayed in different lodges over the years and it’s consistently a relaxing experience. Everything we needed was there. Only thing is, we noticed one bathroom had a bit of dust on the skirting and door, so a deeper clean might help. We’ll definitely be back - we love it here!

We had a fantastic time! The lodge was super well stocked with everything we needed, from cosy bedding to thoughtful bathroom touches like mats. Definitely a place we'd love to return to someday.

Honestly, we’ve noticed some decline in the lodges lately. The shower return has gone and the bathroom floor feels a bit soft, probably from water damage. The laminate around the sink is lifting too. It’s these small things that make the place feel less like the luxury it used to be when we first started coming.

Really enjoyed our stay, but it would've been fantastic if the bar had stayed open later in the evening. Such a shame! Would definitely return though.

We had a lovely stay! The lodge’s location was ideal for exploring Bath and walking nearby was so relaxing. Parking right outside was a real bonus, especially for my elderly parents.

We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was spotless and super comfy, with a lovely outdoor space to relax in. The facilities were good, though the fire didn’t work - luckily it wasn’t too chilly. The TVs lacked kids’ channels and the remote was a bit temperamental. Still, a nice break!

We had a nice stay in a beautiful area, but the lodges could do with some upkeep. The bathrooms looked a bit worn, so that’s something they should really sort out soon.

We had a lovely stay! The bed was super comfy and the bathroom with bath and shower was spot on. Heating worked perfectly and the kitchenette had everything we needed. The sofa’s a bit worn, but still cosy.

The place was perfect for our three-night trip. No cooking facilities, which we knew beforehand, but overall, we loved staying there!

Date of stay: 29th January 2025
We’ve stayed here a couple of times and honestly, our first visit was lovely. Sadly, in recent years, the cleanliness seems to have slipped quite a bit. On our last trip, we were pretty shocked when we checked the bed and found blood stains all over, including on the pillows - it was quite off-putting. Unfortunately, it was late at night, so there was no one around to complain to immediately and we left a voicemail but didn’t get a reply until the next morning. When we finally spoke to the manager, he looked a bit overwhelmed and almost seemed like we were a bother until we showed him the photos. He then called housekeeping to sort the bedding, which was a relief. The shower and head could really do with a good clean too. It’s a shame, because apart from that, everything else was fine. No apology or acknowledgment of the issue, which was a bit disappointing. Such a shame to see the standards drop in what used to be a lovely place.

We loved the lodge! Spacious, well-decorated and fully equipped with a good kitchen-fridge, microwave, oven, utensils, you name it. Only downside was no freeview on the TVs, which our kids missed since they love CBeebies!

Walls are quite thin and the showers weren’t amazing, but overall, we’re happy.

We had a really lovely long weekend at Bath Mill Lodge retreat in January. We stayed in lodge 28, a Pemberley and it was surprisingly modern and spotless. The place stayed warm even with the chilly weather outside, which was a relief. The kitchen was well-equipped, so we didn’t have to bring much with us - always handy! The bathrooms, both the main and en-suite, were quite spacious and had plenty of hot water, which is always a plus. One thing we loved was the storage room at the back - we’ve never seen that before in a lodge and it was perfect for keeping our luggage out of the way. The setting was so peaceful, with no noisy facilities, just a small gym and a restaurant that closed early each evening. Our lodge overlooked a lovely brook and we even spotted a deer outside! The location was ideal for a quiet escape but still close enough to Bath - we took a quick taxi, just £11 each way and it only took about 10 minutes. Definitely a great spot if you want some peace but also easy access to the city!

The lodge was super comfy and well-equipped, we felt right at home. Everything was spotless and cosy. Only thing missing for us was more streaming options on the TV-would’ve been perfect for relaxing evenings. Still, a lovely place overall, definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

When we first arrived, the lodge had a bit of a wet dog smell, but it was spotless and you wouldn’t find any pet hair around. Not really sure why they let three dogs stay there since it’s right next to the brook, but hey. The layout is a bit odd; the two big en-suite bedrooms are separated by a central living space with shiny black sofas and a wall-mounted TV, which is nice. The kitchen, though, was a bit of a let-down - half of it is taken up by this massive wooden dining table with six chairs, even though only four of us were there. That left a tiny kitchen area with no proper cupboards for food storage and the only prep space is above the fridge, which has a small ice box that acts as a freezer. The bedrooms and bathrooms are definitely five-star, but the rest of the lodge feels more like a two-star place overall. Still, we had a decent stay!

Great value for money

Date of stay: 3rd January 2025
We've stayed at Bath Mill five times this year, so we know the place pretty well, including its quirks and flaws. We booked one of the premium lodges hoping for a step up in quality, but sadly, it was just as tired as the smaller ones, if not more so. The boiler pressure was a bit dodgy right from the start and the main bathroom had a persistent smell of urine, which didn’t go away despite cleaning. The en suites weren’t much better, showing signs of mould here and there, which isn’t exactly what you want in a holiday lodge. The kitchen appliances were tiny - honestly, they seemed more suited for a single person, not a family of eight. The oven was a real hazard, with the control panel catching on the drawer unit and the fridge and freezer doors kept snagging each other, not to mention the freezer needed a good defrost. The TV service was pretty much ancient - half the channels were off and Wi-Fi options were non-existent for extra channels. We left all these issues with reception when we checked out, as we didn’t want to spoil our festive break by calling maintenance during Christmas. It’s a shame, really, because we love the location, but the lodges could do with a serious upgrade!

Bath Mill LR offers lovely lodges in a nice location. Only a short drive into Bath centre. Really appreciated the restaurant/bar on site offering a great outdoor seating area. Staff were lovely, very helpful. We took our dog, which was well provided for.
Jonathan
We had one minor hiccup on the first evening arrived back at lodge and no electricity. The caretaker arrived in five minutes but the repair needed a professional who turned up 15 minutes later who repaired the fault. All done in 45 mins from being given fault fantastic clean retreat. Had a great holiday would recommend five star accommodation and staff.
Kerry
Very easy, lovely lodge and surroundings. Staff very polite and helpful, I failed to find any negatives. Would 100% recomend. Thanks.
Louise
Fantastic location very close to bath. Lovely quiet surroundings for a relaxing holiday. On site pub was very nice but has reduced opening times. Hot tubs would be an additional feature which i feel would make this the perfect break. Will definitely return and recommend.
Bob
This is our 3rd visit to Bath Mill. Management need to pay attention to the performance of their maintenance and inspection staff if they are to achieve the 10 rating that we gave previously. Examples: 1. Wine/drinks cooler not working. 2. Bedroom light not working 3. Ensuite extractor fan turned off 4. Mould on shower surround 5. No cafetiere provided. Previously one was provided and should continue to be the standard at a lodge of this quality and price.
Alison
The lodge was amazing , very roomy for 4 people , the surroundings were lovely , it would have been nice to have a little shop for essentials , eg , milk , bread etc plus a newspaper . Staff were helpful and friendly .
Jeanie
Lovely peaceful holiday
Carol

Darran
Long weekend min break, well resourced lodge, well maintained and clean. Beautiful park area, immaculately kept with great staff.
