Visitor Reviews of Langmere Lakes Lodges

Rose, Woking
Date of stay: 14th August 2020
Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting
Anthony, Hainford, Norfolk
Date of stay: 27th December 2019
It was a very enjoyable break. There were just a few problems. There was no curtain or blind on the window over the cooking area, which compromised our privacy in the evenings with the lights on.( this had been reported before in a earlier review, but it has not been rectified). Also, we never did manage to get the water to heat up!. Perhaps we should have phoned someone at the time? But overall it is a lovely place to take a break. Especially in the warmer months when the fishing would be excellent.

Great lodge. Comfortable beds. Scenic outlook over fishing lake.
William, Shipston On Stour
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Excellent facilities. Our only comment was that a bread knife would have been welcome and also we found the previous occupants had obviously experienced problems using dish washer as cutlery had not been washed satisfactorily. These were only minor issues and did not detract from the excellent ambiance of the property.
We hope to return again before too long.

Was very lucky to get a 4 day break at a very good discounted price. We only paid half The amount our neighbours did so was pleased because I think it was extremely over priced The setting was lovely and peaceful but the fishing was not good. The lakes are nice but not many fish.

Date of stay: 16th June 2017
Shower could be overhauled.
Rebecca, Beverley
Date of stay: 12th June 2017
Litter left from previous occupants a little off putting. No cot or high chair. But otherwise very comfortable. Reasonably well equipped kitchen, but more mugs for tea needed.
Katherine, North London
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
Lovely setting overlooking the lake and we really enjoy staying here.

This is not a complaint but an observation - perhaps to clear leaves from the decking also had to buy cleaning equipment to clean the outside table and chairs.

No enough wine glasses, other glasses. Bottle opener was broken.
Electricity went off (unavoidable) however since this seems to occur at times perhaps provision and explanation about what to do in the case of this event.

It would have been better if one of the double bedrooms had the possibility of being set up with an alternative two single beds as son had to sleep in the lounge and we needed to buy an extra duvet.
Donald, Norfolk
Date of stay: 27th May 2017
With good weather it is an excellent place to unwind and relax even if fishing is not for you..
Kay, Lincs
Date of stay: 1st May 2017
Spacious and well appointed lodge. Generally very clean. A few very minor niggles - coffee stained mugs (which came clean with a quick scrub!) kitchen cupboard doors that didn't close properly - could be easily rectified by hinge adjustment and a very loose pan handle!
Jeremy, Ripon
Date of stay: 28th April 2017
Fantastic spacious lodge with all mod cons (except bread bin!) minor problem is continuing wasp destroying needed, not enough to put us off. VERY comfy bed, comfy seating in lounge area. So quiet just the perfect break for us.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is it. Set in a secure area, takes about 15 mins to walk round, through some wooded area. My husband likes to do a bit of fishing but also sightseeing. About 30 minutes from Cromer to the North. Farm shop about 5 minutes away.
Thomas
Lovely location, peaceful and quiet, cabins were really comfortable and clean. only reason I put an unhappy face was because there were no staff there when we arrived and no proper key code. Otherwise highly recommended.
Jean
The park is lovely with really nice lakes and lots of wildlife
Michael
Nice lodge in great location for a quiet break.
Esther
If you just want to escape from it all and wind down , this is the ideal place totally isolated but yet only 7 miles from Norwich....the only downsides the lakes were very hard to fish ? my partner is a fishing fanatic but didn't catch a single carp all week only nuisance fish.... unwinding a definite yes ....fishing a definite no
Kim
Spoke to one gentleman he was friendly apart from him we didn’t see anybody. We were very happy with the lodge and the beautiful surroundings. We found it difficult however to fish near to each other because of all of the fishing areas were only big enough for one person not a family. But overall a lovely base to stay In Norfolk. It’s lovely that people can bring their pets, however I also think they should be responsible to pick up their dogs mess and dispose of it appropriately.
