Visitor Reviews of Kings Lynn Holiday Park

Emily Carter
Date of stay: 27th February 2025
Honestly, the photos of the Lodge are quite misleading. They look so bright and inviting, but in reality, the place feels pretty tired and in need of some serious sprucing up. The chairs are cracked and damaged and there’s even a hole in the bathroom door. The bedding was, frankly, unacceptable-completely bobbly and it looked like it needed throwing out. It’s annoying because they charge extra for that bedding, which isn’t included in the price. The kitchen was decent, well-stocked, but don’t forget to bring your own soap or washing-up liquid. On the bright side, the lady on reception was lovely-really friendly and helpful. It’s just a shame the place doesn’t match the photos at all. With a bit of investment and some refurbishment, it could be so much better. As it stands, we wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they do some serious upgrades to bring it up to that advertised standard.

We had a cracking time with the four of us, even though the campsite itself wasn’t packed with activities. We didn’t mind at all - the laughs and Christmas celebration made it truly special! Lovely memories.
Emma, Doncaster
The place was really lovely and spotless, with a modern vibe. It had all the cooking gear we could ask for, which was great. There’s some traffic noise if you’re on the front, but we were at the back and it didn’t bother us. The outdoor seating was perfect for unwinding!
Harriet
We stayed in a beautifully converted place that felt so cosy and warm, perfect for a rainy December day! The bath was fantastic and the shower was great too. Honestly, being near the flight path didn’t bother us at all, so don’t worry about that. It’s a perfect spot if you've got dogs that hate fireworks, super quiet in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for a lovely stay!
James
We had such a great weekend stay! The place was just perfect for what we wanted and we really enjoyed our time here. Our dogs went wild for the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Definitely planning to come back. Happy pups, happy us. Lovely experience overall!
James
We loved the cottage! Perfect peaceful spot, just what we needed. The hot tub was a real treat and the owners were friendly without being overbearing. Just right!
Emma
We had an amazing stay! The cottage was cosy, well-kept and had everything we needed. Loved the easy access to lovely dog walks right outside. The host was super friendly and quick to respond, which made everything smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. Definitely coming back, such great value!
Rajesh
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely spot tucked away in a peaceful, private setting. The hosts were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, yet they didn’t intrude on our privacy. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day! Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us after a couple of hours, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering. Overall, a great place!
James
We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage on a working farm, which surprisingly felt very private. Robert and Sharon were such warm hosts, making us feel welcome from the start. The place is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave. The garden’s perfect for dogs-completely secure and nicely furnished. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, were great. We’d definitely recommend it!
Emma Collins
We had a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert really made us feel at home, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and felt safe for our dog, Archie. The location was perfect, with loads of nice walks nearby and exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages was a real treat. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed-exactly what we needed for a break. Would definitely recommend!
Emily
We spent a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshund girls and they absolutely loved it! It’s a charming cottage and the hot tub was a real highlight - especially since we had the hottest days of the year, so it was cool and super refreshing. The hosts were genuinely welcoming and it was nice to see their horses being taken out to the fields each day. Yeah, it’s close to Stansted’s flight path, but honestly, I enjoyed watching the planes come in. Definitely a place we’d recommend!
Charlotte
We had such a lovely relaxing getaway here. Sharon and Robert really go above and beyond to make sure everything’s just right. It was our second visit and we’re already planning to come back again soon!
Emma

We booked this place for a dog walking holiday and it was just what we needed. Lovely accommodation, close to pubs and restaurants and endless fields for walks. The dog didn’t want to leave either! Definitely recommend.
James
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is peaceful, well-equipped and perfect for a relaxing escape. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. The hosts are friendly and it’s just a nice, quiet spot to unwind. Highly recommend!
Emma
Very cosy place, had everything we needed, loved it!
Alex
We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! It really is a little gem - everything you could possibly need is there, so no need to pack much. We were surprised at how well equipped the place was; I overpacked the car, honestly. The welcome pack was super handy, full of useful info and menus, which was thoughtful. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just the treat we needed after days out. Sharon and Rob were quick to reply whenever we had questions. A perfect little escape!
Emily
We just got back from a brilliant week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed, really well stocked. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Even though it’s on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat - lovely!
James
Had a lovely time at Goddards Mead, can't wait to return! Everything about the place was just spot on.
Jess
We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, we loved it! The owners are super friendly but never intrusive, which was perfect. Our dog really enjoyed the big fenced garden and the place had everything we could possibly need. The hot tub was a real highlight and we even managed to have a BBQ one evening. We’re already planning to come back and have told our friends all about it. Thanks for a lovely break!
James
The cottage was really charming and peaceful, perfect for escaping the busy city life. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Owners were friendly but not intrusive at all.
Ellie
We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage. The place was spotless and well stocked, making it super comfortable. Loved the easy access to dog walks right outside. The host was really friendly and quick to respond, which made everything smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially curious Penelope the pig, was a real highlight! We’ll be returning for sure.
Emma
We loved this place! Gorgeous home, super clean, fully equipped and so comfy. Hot tub was fab!
Allan
a well-positioned park with a shop, mostly a touring and long-term caravan site, with about 10 lodges, very friendly site staff
Joan
Had a lovely stay in a lodge. Beautiful - very clean, comfortable, quiet and a great base to go and visit Norfolk. The staff are lovely - we will book again.
Jacqueline
A lovely lodge situated on a quiet park . Great for exploring Norfolk
SANDRA
The only problem was the heating was complicated and no towels but they brought us some
Michelle
A quiet and basic site. We hired a lodge which was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Bear in mind you are next to the A47, but it didn't bother us as we used the site as a base to explore Norfolk. You could hear the traffic slightly, but it did not impact on our stay. We dealt with the lady (maybe the owner?) who was very friendly and helpful.
Brian
Great weekend break. Comfortable accommodation. Helpful staff.
Karen
Had the best 4 nights away in a lodge which was spotlessly clean and modern throughout. Location was great as we were there during the mini heatwave so went on beach days everyday! Would stay again and lady in reception so helpful and welcoming
Richard
Great lodge, good location
Sarah
We had a lovely stay here for the weekend. The cabin was very clean and modern. All the facilities in the cabin were very very good. There isn't much to do at the site but this is OK for us as we don't use them anyway. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We will definitely return. Thank you.
