Medmerry Park

Excellent accommodation, staff lovely , park so dog friendly, so impressed with Medmerry I’ve booked again , loved the dog agility area , dog fields, the beach, the dog wash was excellent idea , staff were so friendly and helpful in all areas , can’t fault the place the accommodation was lovely clean , and modern and well equipped , thank you for a great stay .

Booked for my daughter’s birthday. Chalet was spotless and well laid out. Only small negative was lack of storage in second bedroom and some missing cooking utensils. (although I didn’t speak to reception who I’m sure would have resolved it). The bar/restaurant was lovely and food/drink lovely and good value for money. The site was immaculate and well looked after. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and very dog friendly. Hot tub man was very friendly and checked the tub every day. We had a fantastic time and look forward to booking again

It was good value for money for the time of year that we went. The dog facilities were the main reason for choosing this site. We have been before and will go again

Very enjoyable and relaxing time, already planning to go back. Chalet was clean with comfortable beds and fair bit of space. Only thing I would say is more clothing space required.

Caravan was lovely but heating not working.

Key broke in the lock, but maintance team quickly fixed it.Wanted to take the bed home it was so comfy.Parking could be better as there is not enough around the accommodation

This park is amazing! Right next to the sea, crazy golf, table tennis, play area, closed in dog area and agility course, dog wash, swimming pool outdoor (if in season), bar. If you arrive with a dog, you are welcomed with a little bag containing a ball, treats and poo bags, which we thought was a lovely touch :-)We booked to stay in a luxury chalet and when we arrived the chalet it appeared to be clean and well kept, it was nice, but the only thing that made in luxury was the dishwasher, coffee machine and a bottle of prosecco and milk that was in fridge for us. There was no space to unpack, no wardrobes, just a small hanger in one room and a few shelves. In the second room there was only coat hooks.The lounge had limited space and I think if there was 4 of you, you would struggle.The outside area was fenced off so that was a bonus, and there was also a sun shade that could be pulled out (if you were lucky enough to get the sun! October didn't have much this year)I would have initially given this review a 4 star if it wasn't for the fact that my son dropped his ear pods and we had to move the bed to find it, unfortunately then we discovered that the accommodation was not at all clean, there was a large amount of dust and debris under the beds and also the sofa in the lounge, we were lucky enough to find 4 dog treats, a plaster, a broken pair of spectacles, sweet wrappers and some hair :-(, also the pots, pans and cups/glasses were not at all clean, however, luckily I had bought dishwasher tablets so that rectified that .If the accommodation that we stayed in had been clean and not been advertised as luxury, in the summer months, I think this has the potential to earn itself a 5 star.

Amazing place! Proper beds unlike caravans. So spacious and comfy with crops cool bed linen. Friendly staff. We don’t use facilities normally but there is so much to do from dog agility tracks, eco kids area re nature, outdoor pool etc

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!

Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!

Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people.

The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurantRead mores. We liked The Star and The Maypole. Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. Lovely friendly owners. Couldnt do enough when the power went down due to the storm. Very well equipped and clean. Very warm cottage. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed outside space and us the hot tub!

Perfect venue for a quiet break away. Sharon and Robert have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Although this was our second visit it definitely will not be our last.
