Overall, I enjoyed our stay. The pod was cosy and warm. Bedding and towels clean. Bathroom clean. Kitchen facilities ok. Good location for Keswick, Blencathra etc. There were just a few niggles. Some of the crockery and cutlery were dirty and needed washing before use. The floor was dusty/gritty underfoot. Very little storage, just a few hangers. The pods are next to the A66, so there's a lot of road noise. It would have been nice if there had been a welcome pack (a few tea bags, coffee sachets, milk, salt, pepper etc). With a little bit of care, this could have been 4 stars. Just the road noise would prevent 5 stars, from me anyway.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in one of the glamping pods, and it was an unforgettable experience. The pod offered the perfect blend of luxury and nature, making it an ideal getaway. The pod itself was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, offering all the modern amenities you could need while still maintaining a cozy charm. The comfortable bed, and efficient heating system ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. The outdoor area was equally impressive, featuring a private deck with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The location was also fantastic, offering easy access to nearby hiking trails and scenic spots. We spent our days exploring the area and were always happy to return to our cozy pod in the evening. Overall, our stay exceeded all our expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic retreat, a family adventure, or a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this glamping pod is the perfect choice. We can't wait to return!

We had a lovely time! The only downside would be the traffic noise from the A66 but that cannot be helped and it was very accessible for Keswick. The views are beautiful and the pod had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again

Amazing place to stay, super comfy beds, has everything you need for a short stay. We were a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and a dog. Great size bathroom and the underfloor heating kept us cosy during February weather. Perfect location to explore the whole of the lakes. Pubs short walk nearby. Will stay again.

Had the most beautiful time here and will definitely return. The walks nearby are superb. Only criticism would be there wasn’t much space to put clothes, only a few hangers . (Unless I missed an under the bed storage ?) but the pod was beautiful and clean .
Andrew
It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!
Simon

The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurantRead mores. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. Hide

Just returned from a lovely weeks stay at Goddards Mead. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts are very warm and welcoming and despite being on a working farm it felt like a little tranquil haven.

Laura
Had a lovely stay here thankyou
Daniel
Great accommodation in an excellent location.
David
Good location for touring the top half of the lakes. Lovely views Road a bit noisy but you get use to it
Catherine
Perfect. Great location for exploring the Lakes. Yes, traffic noise from the A66, but not at night, just an occasional lorry. Clean, everything thought of (toilet roll, washing up liquid, soap, towels etc). If a bit chilly, just put the underfloor heating on. Super hot shower. Everything catered for. Entry is from a single track leading up to the farm, through the farm yard which is a tad bumpy, but no problem at all. I was concerned that I may meet another vehicle on the track (hopeless at reversing). I didn't luckily. I enjoyed every second of my four day stay. Thank you
Michael
A very cosy cabin ideally located for a trip up Blencathra and the surrounding hills
Onysha
Lovely place to stay. The fridge and freezer compartments were quite large, the bed was comfortable too. Although I did see a few hairs on the pillow from the last occupant. Unfortunately, the location is a little bit too close to the A66, this doesn't make it particularly noisy but more so awkward from a commuting perspective if you need to walk to the bus stop since you'd walk very close to fast passing cars. The beauty of the surroundings more than compensates and bear in mind the above would of course be very convenient for drivers. Overall the place was clean, staff were extremely helpful and friendly- the owner was really kind and picked up my friend who was a bit lost and scared of the passing cars, the complimentary cleaning products were also handy. I'd definitely book a stay there again and would highly recommend.
Michael
Lovely little pod... it was a great escape... my dog loved it too... thank you...
