The staff really went out of their way to be friendly and considerate, especially with the baby. It’s a shame there weren’t a few coat hooks though, the space was a bit tight.

Not worth it

We really enjoyed our stay! The pod was spotless and looked brand new, with all the essentials like a big microwave and a decent fridge freezer. The mattress was a bit firmer than we usually prefer, but overall, very comfy. We’ll be back!

We stayed in a glamping pod recently and it’s definitely a mixed bag. You need to bring your own cleaning cloths and washing up liquid, which caught us out a bit. When we opened the window, we had a fly infestation, but we managed to get rid of them without bothering anyone since it was our first visit. The site itself is fantastic, with a lovely on-site restaurant and really friendly staff. However, don’t expect four people comfortably - the sofa folds out into a small double, so it’s a bit snug for two adults.

The bed was super comfy, everything was spotless when we arrived and we’d definitely book again!

The bed was a bit too high and firm for us and there weren’t enough hooks for coats. A bathroom shelf would be handy. The sofa bed wasn’t comfy, but honestly, the location makes up for it. Lovely place!

We really enjoyed the location of the pods, perfect for catching sunlight most of the day. It’s also fantastic for stargazing at night. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are quite handy and there are plenty of sockets, which is always a plus. Overall, quite a comfy stay!

We stayed in this cosy pod and found it surprisingly warm, which was great! The place had all the essentials in the kitchen, though we did wish there were some shelves or hooks, especially in the bathroom for towels. Also, it was a bit of a let-down that the shop wasn’t open on Wednesday or Thursday, so we couldn't buy supplies during our midweek stay. Would’ve been handy to know that beforehand.

Overall, pretty decent stay. The shower could’ve been a bit cleaner, but it wasn’t a big deal. The sofa and bed weren’t the comfiest, but the pod itself and the hot tub definitely made up for it. Would stay again!

We loved the cottage! Perfect spot for a peaceful break, away from busy crowds. The hot tub was fantastic and the owners were so friendly and helpful. Just right!
Harriet
We had a fantastic time at this cottage! The place is really well looked after and has everything you could need. Plenty of lovely walks for the dogs just outside the door. The host was super friendly and quick to respond. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. Definitely coming back, great value! Highly recommend.
Jessie
The place was stunning, super spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight!

We had such a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and felt safe for our dog Archie. The location was perfect - plenty of walks around and charming villages nearby like Thaxted. Honestly, it was just what we needed to unwind and recharge. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!
Emily
We stayed here for a week in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The cottage itself is charming and cosy and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching heatwave, it was so refreshing. The hosts made us feel really welcome; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out each day to the fields. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was actually quite fun to watch the planes land. All in all, we’d definitely recommend Hide for a relaxing getaway!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay here! The garden was perfect for the dogs, totally secure and private. Would come back!

Really enjoyed our time here, the cottage was lovely and cosy. Definitely coming back soon, can't wait!
Emma
We just got back from a four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, it was really lovely. The owners are super friendly but never intrusive, which was perfect. The fenced garden was great for our dog to run around safely. The place had everything we needed, including a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! We’re already telling friends about it and would love to come back sometime. Thanks for a great break!
James
This place is a lovely little hideaway, perfect if you want peace but still want easy access to shops and stuff. The hot tub is a real treat and the underfloor heating keeps everything super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are so welcoming - can’t wait to return for longer!
