Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The seating was a bit low and tricky to get up from, especially for us, but that’s probably our fault. A better mattress and some hooks in the bathroom would be great, but no complaints really. Lovely break!

The caravan feels quite old-fashioned and could use some proper sprucing up. The outside area is messy and those planters definitely need some attention. Not the best experience.

Prices seemed quite steep for both the accommodation and rent. Ended up buying a static caravan somewhere else.

We love peaceful holidays and this place hit the spot for us. It’s a small, quiet caravan site that suits what we’re after. Our caravan was absolutely spotless and just the right size. The indoor pool was a real highlight - we used it every day with our kids, aged 7 and 11. Booking a slot was easy and we were lucky enough to have the pool all to ourselves each time, which was great. It’s a decent size for a proper swim, though there are no slides or anything, which didn’t bother us. The clubhouse was nice and we enjoyed relaxing with drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic - after the kids were in bed. The playgrounds kept the little ones happy too. Everything was kept really clean and the staff were super friendly. We’d definitely come back!

Relaxing spot, perfect for unwinding after a busy week.
Emma, Gateshead
We stayed for four days and honestly, every meal was spot on - never had a bad one. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. The caravan was lovely!
Alex, Stocktonontees
We really enjoyed the caravan's lovely rattan table and chairs, but it would’ve been better with a brush or dustpan. Also, no steps to the table, so we had to go inside to reach it. Still, nice place!
Emma, Berkhamsted
Really pleased with our stay, everything was spot on, though we didn’t get round to trying the facilities.
James
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was charming and peaceful, perfect for a quiet getaway. Owners were super friendly without being pushy at all. Definitely recommend!
Emma
We had a really lovely stay at this cottage. The place is super well-kept and fully equipped, making it feel homey right away. There are loads of nice dog walks just outside the door, which was perfect for our pooches. The host was lovely, friendly and quick to respond. We especially enjoyed meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig! Definitely coming back, great value for money. Highly recommend!
Emma
The place was lovely, super clean and really well stocked. We had a great time relaxing there!

We had a lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which we appreciated a lot. The place was spotless, cosy and perfect for Archie, our dog. The location was spot on, with lots of scenic walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are definitely worth exploring. Honestly, it was just what we needed for a proper break. Cheers!
Emily
We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, they loved every minute! The village of Thaxted is charming and friendly, perfect for dog walks and exploring. The cottage itself is really lovely - the hot tub was definitely a highlight, especially with the weather being so hot; it cooled the water just enough to be super refreshing. The hosts were warm and welcoming and it was lovely to see their dogs out and about too. Being close to Stansted’s flight path didn’t bother us at all; watching the planes was quite interesting. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
We loved the quiet atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and our dog was so happy in the garden!

Emma
We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The garden is big, fenced and perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen and we even enjoyed a barbecue one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! We’re already planning to come back and have told friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!
James
We loved the cottage! Perfectly tucked away for peace but still near shops and local spots. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything nice and warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Can't wait to return for a longer stay!

Beautiful small site, perfect for a quiet break. Lovely area to visit, Staff really friendly and helpful. Caravan is one of the best we have stayed in. Lovely layout.
Linda
Spent a lovely few days away here at this park.It was very quiet but that was probably because of the time of the year. The club and restaurant was only open at the weekend and we were only there Monday to Friday so we missed out on this.I would certainly go back again.
Ruth
