Lovely comfortable and well equipped lodge with a great hot tub. Could do with a few more lights outside for night time hot tubbing.

Everything was almost perfect, if I had one criticism it would be that the crockery was very utilitarian, for that added bit of luxury china would be nice. The lake view was virtually non existent due to the planting around the lakeside.

Daleside Lodge has everything you need. Comfortable furniture, spacious rooms all utensils and is very clean and tidy.Parking was for two cars with ours, and you could actually fit two cars (unlike some places).Plenty of space between lodges so you don't feel hemmed in.Overall, perfect.

A lovely basic lodge. Beds are comfortable and it has the facilities needed for holiday. Amazing hot tub with views of fields. Those slat fences that are supposed to be privacy fences are a waste of time though. Can see through them. Plenty of utensils. Oven was incredibly noisy when on. Leather sofas not the most comfortable and the smart to was so slow and kept cutting off YouTube. Had to do a good sweep of spiders and spider webs everywhere. However these small minor details didn’t inhibit the fact that this lodge is comfortable peaceful and a great place to stay in.

A wonderful setting by the lake in a peaceful area of the countryside.Some very good attractions close by, backed up by excellent dining facilities in the local pubs. The lodge was well equipped, and had everything we needed.Thank you - we will certainly visit again in the future.

Lovely quiet site. Comfortable lodge. Have stayed at Cedar Retreats before and will probably visit again. Not luxury as stated but very nice.

Very letdown overall!

Everything was great, lovely and clean and easy to operate things with clear instructions. We forgot toilet rolls and reception where very kind and helpful

Lodge was very large, furniture was about usual for this type of property (not Luxury as advertised). Nice lodge but a bit tired in places, especially bathroom

We had a very good holiday despite the awful weather the lodges are spacious clean and well equipped but the TV kept breaking up though the WiFi is excellent.phone reception however is poor.The park is peaceful and relaxing with ducks and rabbits and birds everywhere. It’s very quiet but near lots of lovely places to visit.

Wow what a lovely place to stay, everything and everywhere was immaculate We stayed in a dog friendly lodge which was lovely but when we next stay we’re going to have a larger dog friendly lodge, as lovely as it was we would of preferred it a little bigger, but that’s just our preference, the lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was bigger enough for two of us and lovely and clean and hotThe staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble, we asked what it’s like when it’s full and Mandy an amazing lady said we are, so if your looking for peace and quiet even when they are full trust me this is the perfect place to stay The local cafe which is in Masham is amazing it’s a little tea room The scenery is something else, not many shops but we went for the peacefulness I Can’t recommend this retreat enough it was just beautiful including having the ducks visiting us every day We will be staying again very soon

The lodge itself was great, very homely with everything provided. The hot tub was superb, and lovely to come back to after a day walking on the Yorkshire Dales. Would highly recommend, as a nice escape

We've very recently returned from Cedar Retreats - we had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Yorkshire. Its perfectly located for accessing so many places. The lodge was perfect for us (bedrooms at either end of the lodge and living area in the middle) - first time we've had a lodge in that layout but it really worked for us. Reluctant to tell you which lodge incase it's booked up next year, but it was lodge 19 that we had. The view we had was wonderful - over the fields at the back - lovely watching the sheep each morning. We also had an unexpected "lake" (aka flooded field!) to watch the wildlife and birds etc Hot tub was brilliant and nice and easy to access. The staff were all really pleasant and super helpful. One of our beds was squeaking - the lady on reception whizzed round with her screwdriver and tightened it all. Nothing was too much trouble. Couple of super minor points - a whisk would've been handy and some salt in the salt pot? Also the little stones from the driveway get trodden into the lodge - not sure how to prevent that...but it must annoying the cleaners! All in all it was a wonderful stay!

Enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful week. The lodge was spotless and clean and very well equipped with everything you could need, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and the cleaning team do an excellent job. We took our little dog with us and found the nature reserve at Nosterfield to be an ideal walk, plus it's literally just a two minute drive away. There's a small village shop about 10 minutes walk away, perfect for any bits and bobs you may have forgotten. We can't wait to come back again in Summer.

Lovely lodge and hope to visit again however sofas a little worn and think robes for hot tub use should be included in price - overall had a great time with family

Great lodge ,nice and comfy, clean and tidy , hot tub was ideal , cleaned every morning ,nice and quiet site , great little break away Couple of minor things to mention No lights around site , so walking the dog at 9 o clock on a night was a bit sketchy when you couldn’t see a great deal , no mop to clean up muddy paw prints or hot tub feet prints , no cork screw for bottles on New Year’s Eve lol

The holiday was good. The only issue we had was when the water wasn't working on the second day and we had to drive 4 miles for bottled water

Lovely luxurious holiday that was faultless. The attention to detail was amazing in every aspect of the lodge including the private hot tub. We found the lodge park easily and received a very warm welcome on arrival. It is in a perfect location to explore North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Hope to be back very soon.

We stayed for a weekend with our 9 and 6 year olds. The lodge was beautiful, modern and immaculate. We had a bit of trouble with the WiFi but they sent someone straight out and it was something we were doing wrong, so our fault completely. The setting is lovely, with the lodges all around a small lake. There’s nothing there so not great for all kids, but ours loved it still. The hot tubs make the difference, this was where we spent most of our time on an evening. All of the appliances were easy to use, the microwave, oven, dishwasher etc and the tv had all the freeview channels plus Netflix, so great for the kids. The management were very helpful and always at the end of a phone for any help. There’s also a lovely little village near by within 5 - 10 minutes walk, with a lovely pub by the river which did great food. We absolutely loved our stay there and would love to go back. The only score we marked lower than 10 was value for money. Although the place was lovely we felt it was overpriced. Considering there are no facilities at all we just thought that was a lot to pay. Hopefully it was just a price hike due to the foreign travel restrictions (I know a lot of places have done this) and it will be a more realistic price next year.
We will definitely look at coming back if the prices aren’t quite as high next time.

Lovely peaceful lodges, our second visit here. Great location and loads to do within a short drive. Highly recommend a visit to Fountains Abbey!

Possibly the best lodge we have been too. It was absolutely immaculate and very spacious. The views over the lake are beautiful and the hot tub is large and is checked every day. Staff were friendly and the location is perfect for families. There’s so much to do within a 10 minute drive. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be back.

spent a week there, lodges and site were clean and just what we expected , nice and quiet, lodges very well equiped and spacious , could not fault the site or the lodge .Had a brilliant week viviting ork and the surrounding area . would def recomend this site and lodge.

Loved every minute of it. Perfect get away for a chilled one, nice and clean. Staff was so lovely and helpful. We definitely will be back.
