Me and my partner stayed on 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Before check in I received a lovely message about information on the lodge and any details we needed, which was really helpful.When checking in, I updated them that we had arrived and they wished us a pleasant stay.There was an information booklet with lots of details in for the surrounding area, how to use the log burner and other information what may have been helpful.The stay was really enjoyable. We loved the cosiness of the lodge and the log burner was the perfect addition! My partner loved it. The logs are charged extra but to be honest, it was £12 for a weekends worth which wasn’t bad at all.The park was really quiet and didn’t hear much noise. There was a few girls in the next cabin enjoying themselves on the first night but we didn’t mind them having fun and you couldn’t hear them when the door was closed.The location is great, the taxi wasn’t a long ride into Cartmel. Which was nice for food and entertainment. Grange over sands is around 8 minutes in the car but there’s not much to do there but has a few nice places to eat.I did think the lodge would have been larger but it honestly didn’t affect my stay at all.Towels, soap and shampoo were provided. There was also tea, coffee, sugar and even a bottle of milk in the fridge. There was all the added extras that I would have wanted but I had already brought some in case they weren’t provided. There was even a sticky toffee pudding in the fridge.The TV was great! It was a smart TV meaning we didn’t need to resort to finding something on free view on our chilled days.All in all an enjoyable stay and would definitely look at returning!

Very nice lodge, set in quiet site in a stunning area. Walking distance into Cartmel.

We had a wonderful stay in Romney Lodge. The Lodge itself is really comfortable, clean and cosy and a great size for 2. The hot tub was great. It was about a mile walk into Cartmel, probably only walkable during daylight hours. Would definitely recommend for a romantic break and will be returning lovely ????

Overall this was the perfect week away just what we needed, the hot tub was an added bonus which was amazing, perfect breakaway for 2 will definitely be coming back.

We could not fault Herdwick Lodge. Perfect in every way from booking, staying to leaving :). We would definitely recommend. We even had a complimentary sticky toffee pudding.

Very comfortable lodge. It sleeps four but there were only two of us so we had ample space and a sofa each!Very well stocked kitchen and really nice welcome pack.Can't remember the last time we slept so well thanks to the comfortable bed and blackout blinds in the bedroom.Spacious and powerful shower with plenty of hot water.Very, very good WiFi signal.Very good, private hot tub

A very enjoyable break in the Lake District with plenty to visit and tourist attractions within 30 mins to 1 hr drive.

Great property and facilities. Definitely recommend.

Excellent stay for the weekend. Lodge is very spacious with generous double bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Lodge was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. Nice outdoor setting for the hottub. Very peaceful.

Shaun lodge contained all the necessities for a relaxing break, enabling us to cook and clean throughout our stay. The log burner provides a cosy evening, while the hot tub definitely helps you to relax after a day of walking

Great holiday and lovely lodge, lots of new rules for the lodge which differed to the last time we visited, hottub was emptied before the time we had to leave so we lost out on a morning dip before going home, check in and out times are also abit different and we do lose a fair amount of time otherwise spot on clean and tidy facilities

Excellent service and accommodation

Not keen on the semi-detached idea. We had night owls as neighbours and coukd hear doors banging and chatting as well as hot tub even after 11.30pm . Went in till 3am. Overall lodge was nice

Had a lovely relaxing holiday very quiet and private the only thing is the lodge is a little dated compared to others but this wouldn't stop me returning as it has everything else such as location privacy and peace

Beautiful lodge had everything we could of needed, clean, tidy and a great location

It's a beautiful location and we loved the lodge, although there are a few niggles but I think it's just wear and tear but nothing serious. It's well equipped and we had everything we needed. The weather was beautiful and we spent hours in the garden watching the beautiful birds drink from the water feature. We walked into Cartmel once but then the races were on and we decided to stay away from the crowds as we had our dog with us. The garden is not enclosed so perhaps be aware you will always need to watch over them while sitting outside. This wasn't a problem though and we are looking to return this year. Absolutely loved it.

We had a lovely holiday . The lodge was comfortable and had been equipped to a high standard . Hot tub was amazing . Sparkly and clean . The only thing I would have liked was a gate each end of decking to make a small area dog secure . We would book again in a heart beat . Thank you

The Lodges overall quite good. The set up of lodges was well thought out.

Amazing place and well maintained

Fantastic lodge, fantastic location. A cafe or shop on sight would be a bonus but overall no complaints. Already looking to book again for next year
