Site was very quiet but suits us. Last year there was a manager on site 24/7 for security and any issues....this year no one. 2 very pleasant groundsmen who were happy to try and resolve a couple of issues. Couldn't use hotbtub first night of stay as it hadn't heated enough, presumably not on early enough. Lodge was very comfortable, but had a few maintenance issues and broken crockery. Lounge area had a large amount of dead flies on arrival, but no more after we cleaned it up. Unfortunately Lodge 4 has no kitchen storage at all, whereas 36 last year was amazing. Would we go back....not at the moment as I feel there should be a manager on site for any problems.Just want to reinforce how good the 2 groundsmen are.....I believe too much responsibility is being put on them.

5 Stars. Just Amazing. Best welcome pack I've seen anywhere with breakfast pack milk bread shortbread jams coffee pods.Dog welcome bag had toy blanket treats and a bowl. Simply outstanding.Super dog friendly. New Kids park (basketball hoop would be the only wish for the teenagers)The WiFi was strong. We had echo alexa for music. Smart TV had Netflix etc.Kitchen was well equipped with nicest cutlery crockery glasses plus special set for kids.Dishwasher washing machine hoover hairdryer and straighteners. The bathrooms had gorgeous high end shampoo conditioner shower gel.The hot tub was luxurious and robes provided. The only thing to improve would be to add hooks behind bathrooms doors to hang the robes to dry. And perhaps better quality furniture accessories in the bedroom like nicer bedside lamp touch etc and add more instructions in welcome pack about hotub how to use it but it is me be very pernickety. I will 110%go back. The great advantage is being secluded but next to a magnificent river and also 10mn away from the town with Tesco superstore Sainsbury's Local co-op food, Lidl H&B Starbucks and lots of pubs and take-away to choose from.

We were welcomed on arrival and our lodge was ready. Our host took us round and explained everything and there was a lovely breakfast pack and selection of biscuits to welcome us too. A lovely touch. The hot tub wasn’t working unfortunately due to a quick change over but the following morning an engineer was out and sorted it for our second nightThis literally was the only slight issue and it was resolved as quickly as possibleThe play area and river walk was lovely for us as a family with a dogThe lodge very warm and really comfortable Everything you could need in the kitchen We would definitely return5 stars

Luxurious lodge and the site is immaculate. Could not fault anything. Lodge extras of toiletries, extra towels robes & slippers and kit pack was all appreciated but they excelled on providing a full breakfast pack so no mad dash to the shops needed. The hot tub was amazing and well maintained. The sofas are very comfortable (as not always the case on our travels). The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The site itself is a quiet retreat with some lovey walks around it yet its only a short drive to all amenities. Great swing park for kids. I would absolutely recommend and will return.

A wonderful location to unwind and spend time with nearest and dearest. The lodge is comfortable, has all necessary amenities and a wonderful view. The beds are very comfortable. Impeccably clean. The hot tub is such a lovely luxury that is checked twice a day throughout visit. Peter was a lovely and friendly host that explained how everything worked, communication was excellent. It is such a quiet area, with no road noise discernible. Plenty of local wildlife from birds through to squirrels and one fox sighting. a wonderful 8 day break from urban Scotland (and Netherlands) to a truly and gloriously rural Scotland.

Had a lovely, quiet and relaxing 4 nights at this lodge. Its a very rural location surrounded by fields, and farm roads, with local amenities within 5-10mins drive to shops, food places etc. There is a playground for kids and picnic bench also. Everything was provided at Lodge for cooking and towels, sheets, bath robes and slippers. There's a hairdryer and straighteners too. The Manager even provided a breakfast meat pack, eggs, milk and bread in the lodge. Scone Palace and Glamis Castle are all well within 30 mins drive away and dog friendly grounds. It's a great central location for doing day trips. And the best part was the hot tub to come back to relax in. We were very lucky with the sunny weather on our stay fortunately, and there were a few places to get fresh strawberries and raspberries at farm stands/shops amongst other local items. If you are looking for peace and quiet and relaxation this is the place for you.

It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie.
