With fantastic facilities here and at its sister park, Lady's Mile, Oakcliff Holiday Park is the perfect base from which to explore beautiful South Devon. Close to Exeter, Torquay and Exmouth, there are some great opportunities for shopping, eating out and sightseeing - and the stunning Jurassic coastline is renowned for its coastal walks and beautiful beaches.

Oakcliff is less than a mile from the beaches at Dawlish Warren, but also boasts its own outdoor pool open during peak season, and children's play area. Guests can use the indoor heated pool, paddling pools, bowling alley, adventure playground and sports pitch at Lady's Mile and there's a gym, sauna, restaurant and clubhouse - even a hair and beauty salon!

Oak Lodge VIP is perfect for families - it's spacious and sleeps up to six people with a double bedroom and ensuite shower, two twin rooms and a family bathroom with overhead shower. The open plan lounge/diner has everything you'll need including a dishwasher. Patio doors open out onto a verandah with garden furniture, outdoor hot tub and wonderful sea views.

Haldon Forest Park is great to explore with walking routes and cycle paths for people of all levels of fitness. You can go horse riding at Finlake Riding Centre, fishing at Paignton or try your hand at the climbing walls at Dartrock in Buckfastleigh.

Fun Days Out in South Devon

Crealy Great Adventure Park

This is a really lively park packed with fun and thrilling rides for all ages.  Some of the highlights include the newest addition - the vortex water coaster and the the exhilarating Tidal Wave log flume.  We also love the "Wilderness" area where you can actually feed deers and admire the tree houses.  Located in the Exeter region of Devon this adventure park has something for everyone.

The Big Sheep

You may have heard of The Big Sheep as it's one of the most popular attractions in Devon.  Suited to families with children of all ages this place is both fun and educational.  Kids will love running around and playing in the playground and everyone can learn things at the regular sheepy shows.  Sheep racing, bottle feeding and duck trails are just some of the delights to experience.  Adults will also enjoy The Big Sheep with a garden centre and brewery on site too.  This is an all weather attraction with a difference.

Go Ape Exeter

Located in Exeter this is the latest craze where you actually get to climb, swing and explore right up in the treetops.  The experience lasts for three hours and there are plenty of rope bridges and Tarzan swings along the way.  This popular attraction can get very busy in high season and booking ahead is recommended.

The Donkey Sanctuary

This is an excellent attraction in the Sidmouth region of Devon and will appeal to children of all ages - as well as adults.  This refuge is famous for rescued Donkeys and you will get the opportunity to see the great work done at the centre as well as visiting the animals themselves.  You can even adopt a Donkey if you choose!

Woodlands Leisure Park

Woodlands Leisure Park is THE place to go on rainy days! The amazing all weather attraction is packed with slides, chutes, ball pools, climbing frames and a circus train ride. If that is not enough there is also a fantastic "Zoo-in-a-Farm" and a reptile house where children will love meeting the creepy crawleys and unusual creatures. Younger children are not left out as they have their own wonderful Ice Palace to enjoy - one of the largest soft play areas in the UK.

Exmoor Zoo

Exmoor Zoo is one of the most popular Zoos in the UK and is packed with fun attractions. This Zoo is the only one where visitors are guaranteed to meet the elusive Exmoor Beast face to face. Exmoor Zoo prides itself on being different and offering a more personal touch. Talks and encounter sessions take place every half hour through the summertime making the Zoo and educational day out as well as a fun one.

Bicton Park and Gardens

Bicton Park and Gardens is a fantastic place for a family day out and is especially popular during the summer when the stunnig floral displays are at their best. The park has plenty of things for children to do including a couple of play areas and an 18 hole mini golf course, there is also a football pitch for the more energetic.

River Dart Country Park

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship. For younger children there is a toddlers Play Area and a small Beach. During high season supervised activities may include the mega Zip Wire, Canoeing and Rock Climbing.

The Rock Gardens, Caves and Nursery

The Rock Gardens Caves and Nursery have an amazing setting in the old Palace Quarry. The gardens offer an abundance of trees, plants and floral displays including a very grand 80ft Elm Tree and a stunning Weeping Ash. The site also offers a large carp pond, a breathtaking illuminated cave and a tea room serving tasty local produce.

The lodge was great - we had 3 bedrooms even though we were a couple so loads of room! Even with 6 people though, it would have been fine. Very clean and a welcome pack on arrival.

The lodge was warm, although a little too warm at times but we just turned down the thermostat. It was clean and towels were provided
The only thing that was a little strange was the oven shelves and trays all completely wrapped in foil. I'm sure it keeps things cleaner but it's a pain when using the oven, as the foil on the bottom kept blowing up!

The lodge was of a high spec, in pristine condition and was very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our break at Oakcliff Holiday Park. As it was out of half term, we got a bargain for Monday-Friday in a lodge with a hot tub. The lodge itself was lovely and clean and very spacious - it had everything you could need and the views to the beach were gorgeous. The location was okay, just a 5-10 minute stroll downhill to the beach but there is not much at all in Dawlish Warren - you have to walk along the beach for 20-30 minutes to get to shops etc - but we knew this and didn't mind. We didn't see any staff at all while we were there - no one is on reception at check in or check out which did seem odd but we had no problems so it was fine. I would definitely recommend and will return if the price is right in the future.
Mathew
Great location and place to stay, the accommodation was lovely and the hot tub was an extra nice treat. The only down side was their wasn’t anyone to meet and greet you at the park. You just picked up your keys and welcome pack and left to it.
Mike
Great time away
John
Was really impressed with the accommodation, but no one to greet us or direct us to our lodge. It was on the opposite side of the road from the reception and was lucky a resident was around to ask. We arrived at the correct check in time and just found the keys on the desk. Other than that was lovely.
Merv
Everything was superb, the accommodation, location and the scenic area.
Barry
A very enjoyable off-season break.
Jane
Really nice and clean caravan. Only problem was that the central heating was set really low and we were unable to to turn it up.
Chris
second time in this cabin/hot tub loved it and will stay again if the price is right
Neil
Warren lodge that we stayed in was amazing, beautifully clean, the hot tub was fantastic, the only problem we had was the decking hadn't been cleaned for a very long time so was very slippy,
David
Stay regularly for rest bite staff always friendly and nothing too much trouble. Clean immaculate park with beautiful views
