We loved how spotless the apartment was and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing we’d suggest is swapping the double beds for king-sized ones - more space would make it perfect! Definitely recommend.

The apartment was lovely overall, with a cosy feel. We did notice a few minor issues like a loose wire on the bedside lamp, a loose toilet roll holder and the curtain in the twin room needed fixing, but nothing major. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved the peaceful setting and all the amenities on site made our stay really comfortable. Just a heads-up, booking evening entertainment earlier would have been smart - Jersey Boys tribute was fully booked when we arrived!

We really enjoyed our stay! The accommodation was comfy and parking was hassle-free. There are lovely walks around the site, perfect for walking the dog or just stretching your legs. The scenery is stunning, especially the woodlands and forests which we love. Most dog owners were respectful and the dog bins were well placed. Definitely a great spot!

The lodge is perfectly placed in the woods, making it really peaceful. It’s warm, clean and well-kept. The outside space is lovely with good quality furniture, perfect for relaxing outdoors. We loved it!

The cabin was really cosy and kept in great condition. Only small thing was the front door didn’t have an internal lock, which was a bit odd. Also, the mattresses in the twin room upstairs weren’t super comfy. Still, we had a lovely time overall!

The apartment was lovely overall, but the creaky floorboards were quite loud whenever people moved around. Fix that and it’d be spot on!

We stayed in these lodges recently and found them quite spacious and well kitted out. The beds were a little firm for our liking and the sofa could have been cosier if it was fabric like in the 3-bedroom units. Overall, a pleasant stay!

The log cabin was stunning, right by the pond-so peaceful, we loved it! Everything we needed was there, though a spot for a disposable BBQ would’ve been handy. Still, we found a safe spot on the decking to enjoy cooking outside.

Nice, we’ll laid out park in a good location. Bar was handy and there was entertainment on for the kids. Ate in restaurant once but it was overpriced and not very nice. Plenty of nice pubs nearby though as alternatives

Lovely stay. Lots to do on-site. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and range of activities offered on a Saturday out of season. 9am check out seemed a bit unnecessary. Cuts a 2 night stay down to very much one day and feels much less value for money.

Enjoyed stay so much, we tried to extend it but sadly it was fully booked. Excellent leisure facilities - shame the 2nd Jacuzzi wasn't working as the functioning one got full in the evenings. Extensive menu and tasty food in the restaurant - loved the mocktails. The site was quiet and well maintained with lovely walks in the adjoining wood. It is well situated for the forest of Dean attractions, Welsh borders and even the Cotswolds. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 1st stay in this area and we hope to return very soon.

Absolutely first class. We visited with my elderly parents and the apartment was excellent. Large bedrooms, very clean and a lovely outlook. Staff at Whitemead are so, so helpful and friendly. A perfect 5 days, thank you
