Tired lodge in need of some TLC (kitchen) No lamps however has everything you need

Amazing lodge,very clean and tidy,well equipped with everything we needed,hot tub clean and well maintained,restaurant on site was amazing and great food,all staff pleasant and helpful,the resorts grounds clean and well maintained

Excellent site, very clean well maintained, lodge was great very clean, plenty of on site facilities, plenty of wildlife and goats, this is my favourite place, the spa and baths and cafe is excellent and pub was great just a short walk from the lodge, also Thirsk town ten minutes away, plenty to do for the children, you won’t be disappointed ????

Accommodation was perfect, all beds were clean, towels provided.Very modern kitchen appliances, so much room inside and outside!Great view of the lake with ducks, perfect family break.

The lodge was spacious and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We stayed at Woodland Lake Lodges in the Alder Spa Pet Lodge (No. 63) for two nights last week, and while we were initially hopeful, our experience left a lot to be desired.Upon arrival, the lodge appeared decent, but the hot tub was a major disappointment. When we lifted the lid, we found yellow froth with black hairs and other debris floating around. There were also wine corks and a broken smartwatch strap left at the side. Despite my efforts to clean it, the froth reappeared as soon as the jets were switched on. We reported this to the staff the following day and showed photos of the condition, but the issue wasn't properly addressed.I was told it would be wiped down. Even on the second attempt, the hot tub remained unusable.Inside the lodge, the décor felt outdated. The sofa was stained and worn, and the mattress in the main bedroom had visible, significant soiling. Additionally, there was no WiFi or Freeview, a detail we were only made aware of after booking and making payment. With limited phone signal in the area, we couldn't even use a hotspot for basic connectivity. This lack of information before booking felt misleading.We also paid an extra for our dog, yet it felt like staying in a "pet-friendly" lodge meant accepting a lower standard of cleanliness. Considering the condition of the lodge, this additional fee felt unjustified.Thankfully, we didn't pay a lot for our stay, and it was only for a couple of nights. However, I wouldn't recommend this lodge to anyone seeking a relaxing, clean, and well-maintained getaway. I wish I had taken more photos.

Great accomodation best lodge ever stayed in. Very clean and homely.

Didn’t use the spa

Plenty of space in this lodge. Enjoy that each double bedroom has its own en suite shower room. Everything you need in the kitchen except from a baking tray in the oven. Nit picking here though. Large veranda with solid wood table and chairs. My only fault was that our lodge had a couple of tears in the floor covering in the lounge.

Lovely place great value for money soul go again

Lovely lodge great for 2 couples with everything you need for a few days away.

Cheaper than other lodges, reasonable priced, could do with face lift and addressing of lighting and cleaning would be great

Ellery lodge was lovely, very nicely done out & big enough for 4. Great position on the park with the decking over the water, great to watch the ducks. Lovely hot tub that worked great & nice temperature. Nice living area as well with corner sofa that was comfy. Husband not happy no wifi but didnt bother me. Doors were a little creaky they could do with oiling but other than that no complaints at all.

Was amazing in the lodge however a couple of suggestions:There were no lamps in the lodge so please put some in.Some kind of netting curtains as well as main curtains for extra privacy.A main outdoor light where the hot tub isWashing up liquid and cleaning spray to be provided.

Lovely clean with modern interior. Had everything we needed. Hot tub made it perfect.

Lodge was clean, spacious. It was very well presented and was a lot bigger than we expected.

A wonderful break.Highly recommended!The lodges are so clean, stocked up and have everything you need.The area is lovely for walks and caters for children - with swings, indoor soft play and a swimming pool!We come here every year and will be back again! Lovely break!

We had a really lovely holiday and would definitely return and recommend to other people. The only thing I would say is for the price you pay a few more basic items could be added to the cabin like washing up liquid, toilet bleach, anti bac spray more toilet roll and a small milk maybe? We don’t drive and had to order the other items in, but if I would have known I would have bought them with me. Also if there was an option of having the towels changed once during the week that would have been really good. However it’s a fab place to stay and we all had a really great time so thanks very much. The staff were friendly helpful and professional at all times and facilities were great!

What a beautiful location. The lodge was brand new and so comfortable and clean. Everything we needed apart from a long handled brush. If you want to keep the lodges in this top top condition you need to help the guests look after them too. It’s hard to sweep a floor with a dust pan and brush! The facilities were good especially the pool being free. Water activities need more equipment though. And ohhh the hot tub how fabulous was that! It made our holiday. All in all fantastic and I will definitely be coming back soon.

Pleasant surroundings, comfortable lodge. Good places to visit nearby.

Fabulous holiday, loved the lodge, lovely and modern. Only issue was the hottub got a little dirty after on the third day, we told a member of staff but wasn't rectified for us. Mentioned it was because of the extreme heat and it was a brand new hottub so hopefully just a one off. Restaurant was gorgeous and the sports bar is a nice touch. Overall we would return in the future.

Lovely quiet site with good facilities and great staff and services.

We stayed in the dog friendly Aspen Lodge, which had a gated decking area which was great for the dog to have freedom, lodge was very spacious & clean & everything provided, hot tub was a bonus, location is amazing & fishing on site, very friendly staff, highly recommend & will definitely return.

Thoroughly recommend this park, a nice size, clean and tidy. Very handy having a the restaurant and sports bar located next door. Swimming pool, soft play, cafe and mini shop all very useful.

Lovely park with swimming and spa facilities..3rd time at this lodge park and would go again.
