Beautiful lodges and spotlessly clean, lovely peaceful setting next to a canal and woods the area is lovely with a little town five minutes away on foot and further afield loads of places to see with great scenery everywhere. We absolutely loved Shropshire and can't wait to go back.First class.

The styling of the barns is beautiful - they’re really well finished and have a lovely feel. We enjoyed our break but had a few niggles. The steps into the lodges are ridiculous. If you e got small children or have any mobility issues this isn’t for you. Add that to a hot tub below those steps where the deck is gravelled and there’s definitely a trip worry. The steps were really icy and there wasn’t even a handrail. The entrance to the site is a work in progress - totally understandable - but something should be done about the road. Glad we were in a 4x4!The lake setting is lovely but the positioning of the lodges is odd. There’s very little privacy either inside or outside - we noticed most people had blinds down all of the day for this reason. Sound carries easily over the pond and we were disturbed several times by anti social behaviour but staff really weren’t interested - or available to deal with this. The cleanliness was excellent but the dishwasher was rancid - even open opening it it was very clear the filters needed cleaning!

Lovely short break st The Barns. On initial arrival the track has an awful lot of very large potholes. That said the staff reassured us that it's being dealt with as a priority. Staff on site couldn't have been more helpful. Lodge was immaculate throughout with Lovely bathrooms and bedrooms. Our lodge.....Stargazer was a little smaller than expected in the lounge/ kitchen area but once we'd got used to it, it was fine for the two of us. If there are more than 2 adults I would recommend upgrading to one of the larger lodges. Lodges are in a lovely setting and adjacent to the Canal for a short walk into town and also The Mere. If I see am offer we will surely visit again.

The lodge is spacious and furnished to a high standard. The beds are super comfortable and there is plenty of storage in every room. The dish washer, washer/dryer and full size fridge/freezer are great. The lodge is very warm and welcoming.

Lovely cabin which has been decorated well. It has a lovely vibe and a good size kitchen and front room. I would say it lacked storage and needed more drawers and hangers.

Recently stayed here for a two night stay as a belated Christmas present for my partner - I would recommend this place to anyone, it is absolutely stunning! The detail inside is amazing - everything you need is in this barn (including the cutest welcome basket with goodies in). The morning before we arrived we recieved a call from Kate saying the rain had flooded the driveway of the barn we were suppose to stay in so they gave us an upgrade and we couldn’t of been more thankful, they didn’t have to do this but chose to do so before we had even arrived which we were grateful for, thank you Kate! The staff here are lovely and attentive, hot tub was amazing, view was stunning and we didn’t want to leave the barn we loved it that much. The most perfect little couples getaway! Thank you!

Lovely relaxing weekend. Excellent facilities, the Hot Tub was up to temperature when we arrived. The 1st 2 nights had a cloudy sky so no stargazing but clear sky on the 3rd night so lots of stars to see.

Stunning lodge and great location for walking into Ellesmere. Beautiful walk around the lake, a children's park and a lovely Sunday lunch at the boathouse. Only negative was the pet area wasn't enclosed at the side of our lodge however this is due to be completed. Overall we would definitely come back!

We all really enjoyed our stay at the Barns. A peaceful location only a short walk away from the lovely town of Ellesmere. A lovely touch was the welcome hamper of treats and Angela nipping by on the first morning to check in on us and give us a map of the local area. The site was peaceful and relaxing-stargazing in the hot tub at night and watching the wildlife in the morning, with a slight view of the canal with the swans. Would love to visit again in the summer months to make use of the fire pit and outdoor furniture and would definitely recommend to others.
