Absolutely Brilliant we have been many times and it never cease to amaze me. The lodges the restaurant and the service are fantastic and nothing is to much to make your stay good ...Only been back 2 days and already booking for next year

Clean, comfortable but not a luxury lodge, very tired and worn, needs a lot of updating.Lovely setting, peaceful and quiet

Wonderful place

3 good size bedroom with plenty of storage space. You’ve a nice clear view of the play area so kids can go and play if they are old enough whilst still keeping a watchful eye. Veranda also gets the sun all day and plenty of furniture.

We had a fabulous time. The weather was glorious too.The lodge was modern, very comfortable and clean.All staff we met were friendly and helpful.Very peaceful location.The bar/restaurant was lovely. Great food, good value for money. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

Superb lodge - well furnished and nicely decorated. Very comfortable and reasonably priced.

Comfortable sofas and and made all the better by having new beds which were very comfortable.

A few niggles - shower over very deep bath and temperature control knob too tight to adjust, resulting in water being extremely hot. Bi-folding door to en-suite in need of repair/ replacement and too noisy to be used in the middle of the night when partner sleeping... Several, very strong air freshners in the lodge which became quite overpowering by the end of the week. Overall though, very comfortable and (almost) home from home...

Great lodge, secluded.

A very attractive site and the chalet was clean and comfortable. A lovely lake with water birds to watch with their young - all in all a very pleasant place to stay

Some minor defects with furnishings but generally good and most things provided that you will need during your stay

5 Stars, the lodges, Spencer’s and the team are fantastic. Really enjoyed our short break.Really close to Pickering and 30 mins drive to the coast, my only gripe is that I didn’t stay longer.

The lodge was great , only slight snag was the beds were not super comfy other than that recliner sofas looking out over the lake . Perfect

Excellent lodge, well situated overlooking the lake. Warm and comfortable inside with a large hot tub outside to relax in. Well equipped kitchen.

Would visit again idea location spot ,summer months would be better ,had a nice break friendly staff

Our second stay here. We were in lodge 1 closest to bar and there was a wedding on so unfortunately we heard the boom boom boom till late. Normally this wouldn’t really bother me too much but I ended up being poorly so went to bed early but hearing that couldn’t sleep. Lodge has lovely view of the lake but If like me you don’t want to hear children squealing this won’t be the lodge for you as it’s right next to play area. Not an issue in winter but dare say it would be in warmer months. Bed in double room not very comfortable. Lodge needs few tweaks. Fire wasn’t working and was going to be taken out and we were told this on arrival. I felt the cold even though hearing on full. Spotlight in bedroom hanging out/ not working . One toilet roll for 3 nights for 4 people not enough though luckily I had brought one from home. The hot tub was lovely and always warm enough. Reclining sofa nice and comfy. Well equipped kitchen. Spencer’s bar nice for a drink though we didn’t eat in there so cannot comment about food. We paid for three nights as no option for two but due to ill health ended up being a total waste of money for us as checked out really early on Sun morning after feeling ill all day Sat but son and girlfriend stayed bit later. We intended to go to Black Bull pub at end of road as we went last time and it was so cosy. All in all, a nice lodge in a pleasant location but needs little tweaks to make it perfect and cosy.

Was absolutely amazing was like been home from home we felt so relaxed after our weekend their, the food in restaurant was lovely 3 of us had Sunday dinner amd all said it was best we one had in a long time, and one person had mixed grill and said it was lovely

Our lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. It's a great location for visiting the coast and the hot tub was lovely when we returned and was checked everyday The bar/reastaraunt was very nice and food was very good. The only think I would change to check the temperature of the water in the bathroom as it didnt get very hot,I meant to mention it to the reception but I forgot. We hope to return soon

Fantastic location for exploring the N Y Moors and surrounding towns. Beautiful setting and well layed out lodges, perfectly clean on arrival, our dog friendly lodge was immaculate. 2 X pubs within 5 minute walk, reasonably priced.

We stayed in the grosmount lodge. It was our first family holiday and it was absolutely fantastic. The lodge over looks the lake which is a great view especially in the morning. There is a onsite pub and restaurant ran by the owner. There is a pub at the end of the lane that even has crazy golf (Black bull), a hotel and restaurant further down and a garden center cafe the oppersite way. Loads of places to eat in pickering and a lidl if you want to stay in and cook. The hot tub was very warm and great on a evening. Plenty of parking on site and the lodge was clean and comfortable. Tea towel, sponges, washing up liquid was provided. Great break away.

Great site, run by the owners, who are on-site the majority of the time. We stayed in the 1-bedroom Grosmont lodge, which was really lovely with a great hot tub and was well-equipped. It's located directly opposite the lake and we had daily visits from families of geese and ducks. Spencers pub on site was very pleasant and provides good food (big portions!) at a reasonable price. A few tiny issues: No loo roll supplied, but the owners soon rectified that. We struggled to shut the bathroom window, but this was reported and I'm sure will be sorted. Also, we couldn't seem to get the fridge as cold as we'd like - maybe this could be looked at? All in all, a really enjoyable and comfortable 4 night stay in a great central location for days out.

Fantastic holiday, great for a base and everything is around the area for good days out. Husband wants to go again next year.

The lodges are lovely and clean, ideal location for exploring nearby villages and not far from coast.

Fantastic lodge with top class facilities and very clean. Each lodge very private but with easy access to lovely bar & grill for food and drink made it wonderfully relaxing. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Never been before, it was a great location to all the coast line. will go again.
