had a family break at this park and have to say after reading alot of negative things would share my experience, we stayed in a comfort chalet and was surprised how nice it was inside, i had a llok on site and came across the value/economy chalets, which were not very nice inside, but if you pay for cheap accomodation you cant expect the ritz, the staff were really nice too, loved the indoor pools and soft play area for young children, overall it was a nice break,

Nice and clean, very well equipped, safe for children, beach on doorstep via private gate, finish off with a dip in the pool. Perfect.

Only scoring this down due to no WiFi. Phone coverage isn’t great either so take some books if you don’t like anything on freeview tv!

Lovely place for a quiet February break. Staff on reception very friendly in fact every one was friendly

Lovely holiday. When we arrived we noticed the twin beds were broken as was the bed side lamp but a quick call to reception and less than half an hour later and both issues were fully resolved. Very efficient and helpful.

I would go here again as it was so cheap but be expected to wait for the hot tub to get warm.

Excellent time spent - didn't want to go home!! Would definitely go again.

We stayed in January, lovely accomodation, the substantial bungalow was lovely and warm, bright and airy. The indoor pool was tropically warm and inviting. The area was beautiful and the break was food for the soul. We'll definitely book again

Very relaxing

The location of the park is perfect for a quiet holiday and the standard of accommodation was excellent. We loved the hot tub and the complete privacy we had when using it. Our only gripes were that the lodge we were given had no direct access to the car and it was a bit of a slog loading and unloading cases, bags etc up and down steps and along paths from the allocated car park space to the lodge. It was also very poorly lit round the site at night and for 5 of the nights we were there had no lights at all which is really bad considering the steps to get round the park and up to the lodges. The yellow edges of the steps are clear to see during the day but impossible without a light at night. Lastly, although the lodge was really clean, we had stored our bags under the beds in both bedrooms and it would appear that they had not swept under the beds for ages as when we pulled the bags out the bottoms of them were caked in thick dust. The staff were very friendly.

Colwell bay, Freshwater Isle of wight is a great place to stay. Cottages are beautiful and really well maintained. Site was very clean and tidy and very peaceful. All staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Bedrooms are really spacious with plenty of room to hand clothing. Beds were also very comfy. Kitchen had all the equipment you needed to cook a good meal. Should you need there was also a dishwasher and washing machine. Lounge/ dining room was very spacious with a big television, DVD and table and chairs. You could alsosit out side on the patio in the daytime or evening as also had a table & chairs outside by the hot tub. Would of loved to of stayed another week but sadly had to return home. Will defently book again and this time bring along my dog as found loads of places she could of visited too.

Great place, lovely beach house very unlucky with the weather some days but we made the most of it.
The windows could do with some blackouts in the porthole in the bedroom as it proved difficult to get the youngest to sleep!

Great first visit to the isle of wight accommodation provided us with a good base containing great facilities ..

So location was lovely … cottage was clean and tidy but sofa beds were really uncomfortable and not very nice. The hot tub was good, not the best one we’ve had but did the job … intially all the water splashed out as we all got in and because it was put in uneven it all sloshed out one side! But overall ut was clean and fairly tidy. Would stay there again as loved the pool and the beach was near!

Fantastic accommodation and location. Only downside no wifi in accommodation.

The Bay Colwell was a lovely cottage that we stayed in and had everything we needed. The cottage was clean.

Lovely site, well laid out cottage and just a short walk to Colwell Bay's beach. We chose a cottage with a hot tub but as there were so many beaches near by that were safe to swim in we didn't really have much time to use it. Would definitely book there again.

Had an amazing week at The Bay, Colwell. Perfect location, and so easy to get around the island. So much to see and do. Only couple if negatives, no WiFi in cottages, double bed could do with a new mattress as a bit lumpy but nothing that spoilt our holiday. Will definitely return in 2023

Lovely place, close to sea and some good resturants. Dog friendly resort and the little pack left for our dog was a nice touch too

We had a fantastic time and the accomdation was perfect, the swimming pool was great and the loungers were great after to chill on
