Beautiful Lodge! The Hot Tub was an amazing addition. It was very spacious and the fire was also a lovely touch. It felt so cosy! We really enjoyed staying here :-)

A great place in the perfect location

We felt we had paid to much for the experience we had on this visit. When booking a lodge it feels like a roll of a dice on what you will be allocated on the day of arrival.

Amazing looking lodge, very comfortable and spacious. We had a wonderful time and the bath was an added bonus.

The lodge was perfect for us. Previous reviews stated it was old and not in good condition, but we found it extremely clean, safe and comfortable. We brought along our dog, and the weather was snowy, wet and icy. The fact that the lodge wasn't 5* hotel quality meant we were able to not stress about wet floors etc. We will definitely be requesting this lodge again.

Hot tubs is clea and in good condition the place warm and cosy spacious nice view things to improve cooking utensils and oven little bit tiredwe enjoyed staying here

holiday home and hot tub was fabulous, well supplied with games, nice and warm (it was winter), private hot tub. Really comfy beds, plenty of cutlery, plates and cooking items. Just wish there was clearer information about brining soap / washing stuff.

Lovely accommodation lots of space, could have done with extra Blankets because it was cold, loved the hot tub!

We loved the indoor water park most.

A lovely and clean Lodge. Lovely and spacious for a family of 4 and a dog.The hot tub was lovely and clean and checked daily.The TV seemed abit dated and small but obviously managed.The only thing I found annoying was the bed sheets and the mattress protector which was only a minor problem as though the night it kept moving off the mattress.

Could have done with a bit more kitchen utensils.

Worth every penny with the dogs.

High quality accomodation, we found it spacious and clean. It had a dishwasher which was handy with 2 young kids. Good water pressure in the showers. Only negatives were the bright lights outside which are on all night keeping the kids awake at times. The en suite did smell a bit nit sure if it was the drain. Not deal breakers or even enough to knock a star off. We have just re-booked as we enjoyed it so much.

Lodge was clean and modern. Everything you’d need was provided e.g pans, washing items. Hot tub was clean and regularly checked by staff to ensure it’s still safe to use

Lovely surroundings. Well kept grounds. We had a delux lodge with hot tub and sauna. Location was very private. A nice relaxing stay.

We had a lovely holiday at Finlake. Our second time here. Great for all the family at this cosy woodland retreat.

The lodge was great of a very high specification and extremely clean. Hearing was very good and we were very comfortable 4 Adults and Two Children. One thing was the solar lights on the decking and stairs were not working so it was extremely dark and could have caused a trip hazard

It’s an incredible location and geographically perfectly located for day trips and seeing the gorgeous country side. The resort however left me feeling disappointed. EVERYTHING is an additional cost. The fact you can’t find out what’s open or what you can book until AFTER you pay for your holiday is terribly underhanded. As typically both pools were closed as was the main bar area oh and there were no activities. The check in time of 16:00 is way too late and to check out at 10am seems over the top. (FYI cleaners didn’t show until 12…) if you want somewhere to blow a tonne of money and no real idea where it went. Go here. Otherwise check out the many other resorts with more soul and less rip off.

Great site so clean and well maintained. Great facilities especially the swimming pools. Good location for days out to the coast and dartmoor. Lovely surroundings for walks with the dog. Would definitely return.

We have lovely holiday there?

We have been 3 times before, this being our 4th ! As always , it was amazing! The park , the accommodation , the surroundings, the people and all the amenities, makes this one special place . Thanks Finlake yet again we have made special memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Lovely place to visit mist also add the staff we came across were very helpful, the house keeping staff were so efficient our mop was broken and within 15 minutes of me phoning them we had a new mop

Our holiday was great. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the activities staff were super engaging and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as we were. The only negatives I would mention (and they are minor), there weren’t many paths along the roads of the site so although walking on the grass and moving out the way of cars wasn’t a problem for us, those with younger children, buggies or wheelchairs may not find this acceptable. The walk to the stables being an example. The only other downside was the lack of evening entertainment or things for teens to do once the paid activities were over and the swimming pools had closed. There were 2 pool tables in the bar but that was it so if you haven’t come prepared with anything to do and aren’t planning on spending the evening off site there is very little for them to do. Other than that we had a fabulous week and will definitely be returning for a cheeky adults only weekend.

A lovely stay - lodges perfectly kitted out. Kids loved the pools and exploring - such a large yet quiet site. Super Staff helpful, calm and over the top with politeness. The only suggestion I would make is for a flat reasonable space for playing football which stays open while it is light say 9pm for older kids or teenagers.

Finlake never disappoints. Not been since all the new spa/pool etc added. Still lovely setting and with private lodges. The food at The Hub & The Retreat was faultless! Great to have eat in or takeaway options! Shop was well stocked (and even a huge variety of gins to choose from! The only downside was that our lodge was very basic and not cleaned particularly well before we arrived. Could have done with some selves in the bathrooms to keep all our toiletries on. Hot tub was not in good working order either. Lovely & warm but jets didn’t work. Overall, we’d definitely be back!
