I’ve been in this log cabin a couple of times love it It is very private with a fence around it

Home from home, nice large sofa, power shower was excellent.

Can't fault anything. Everything so good and relaxing.

Lodge was fantastic - well kept and clean. Garden was not overlooked and hot tub is under cover so could be used anytime. Ample parking at no9 Garden Lodge. Very helpful bar manager/ Lodge manager.

Overall a really nice lodge. The view across the lake was amazing as was watching the bird life throughout the day.Minor points, we couldn't get grill to stay on & there was dust in the shower room extractor fan

There were no electrical sockets situated near the mirrors so using a hairdryer or straighteners was difficult but apart from that all very good.

Good size Lodge. Clean. We did however find the Lodge cold at times and couldn't boost the heating. We just put housecoats on but a cosy blanket would have been good. Choice of cooking utensils OK but missing a peeler and measuring jug.

Beautiful lodge in a perfect location. The lodge was very clean and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. I have no negatives and would definitely book again.

Excellent weekend away, friendly staff and helpful

Having a lodge water edge is a must for us. We needed a 2 bed but the 3 was the same price so thought we’d try it. The bedrooms as a result were a bit on the smaller side but the outside area was bigger to accommodate 6. Had a slight issue with outside light not working on the entrance steps but this was sorted out. We did find a broken wine glass in the back of the cupboard, which was obviously put there by a previous resident and not picked up by housekeeping but these things happen

Lovely cosy lodge - really enjoyed the newer hot tub, it’s nice to see the upgrades in the lodges that have happened over the past year

2nd time we have stayed hear and this is the 2nd time the cabin has been dirty, first time in no8 in summer and then no5 (lillypad) just now the week over Christmas, cobwebs everywhere, to even to the point of mold on the ceiling and the paint coming away, there was mold over the curtains/blinds in the toilets also, kitchens well equipped and hottub well maintained, check in was nice and quick and no1 at reception on checkout to raise my concerns

Lovely stay

I’ve already complained about our holiday but you agreed with dacre that what they sold us was okay despite been falsely advertised on your website. The proof is even on the photo at the top of the review. The view of the lake we were on was nothing like this image. They had not cut back the reeds on the lake and were thick and about 10 feet high so we could not view the lake from our lodge/tub.The toilet seat wasn’t fixed in place so it was broken and slipping about so our 3 year old couldn’t use it. The decking board access point is where you stand to get out of the tub and my son and I fell getting out. Yes this was screwed down but only the next day evening when that should haven’t have been that way on the first place or at least dealt with asap.

We love the dacre Lodges, we have been coming for the last 20 years, the lodges are always lovely and clean, the cleaners and the maintenance men are always friendly, it's just a shame the the receptionist isn't, never acknowledge the fact we are good customers, and if you arrive just 20 mins early the lodges won't be ready, which I think is a joke.

Good all round service hot tub could do with updating but still ok

Very spacious, comfortable, warm lodge. Great kitchen area with dishwasher ! Everything we needed for the weekend. Loved the hot tub and the lakeside location. Perfect !

Hot tub needs replacing

Absolutely loved the Lodge we stayed in.....6 birth. Peaceful and very well maintained surroundings/garden areas.Spotlessly clean Warm, inviting Bar/reception area and staff were lovely. Bar prices were very reasonable too.Very nice restaurant on site. Food was excellent but bottles of wine were pricey!

My husband couldn't fish because of all the reeds Told he could fish in front of lodges were no reeds were present but all these were occupied Very disappointed

In general we had a good time even with the minor issues around the lodge

We had a lovely time at the lodge, very clean beautiful surroundings and great hot tub

Had a mini honeymoon here. Very relaxing, very clean, so friendly and great food.

Great stay in a lovely lodge

Had a lovely stay, lodge was very clean and comfortable with hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped and loads of storage. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of storage space in the rooms. The view overlooking the pond was lovely from the decking and my husband and son in law loved the fishing. Didn’t use much of the facilities available due to the weather but we frequent the club where we played pool and enjoyed a drink or too and bingo. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience well worth the money can’t wait to go back next year??

We had a fab holiday. Kids enjoyed the ice cream shop & cafe Prices of activities were really good so we took advantage and especially enjoyed the golf & footgolf. Lovely Italian restaurant on site too - food was gorgeous!

Lovely relaxing holiday with lots to do on site. Friendly staff, the place has a laidback feel about it. Nice little village opposite with 2 pubs a Chinese, chip shop convenience store and newsagents.

Fantastic place to stay the staff are lovely. There are many things to do that they offer. I stayed in a shepherds hut it was fantastical. The only tiny downfall is there was nothing in the room to kill the flies or nothing to stop them from coming in and with having the door open and it being warm there was a lot coming in

Lovely lodge with a great hot-tub. Nice vibe on the site with beautiful views. The lodge overall wasn’t overly clean, with the veranda covered in cobwebs but as a group we could see past that. Overall great place.

This was a lovely little place to have a break away. The Shepherd's Hut was lovely and really well appointed. The only gripe we really had was that the panel on the side of the bed was really uncomfortable when getting in and out of bed. The bed itself was lovely and comfortable. One suggestion we made at Reception was that part of the selling point of his break was the hottub (which was fab, by the way), the only issue was accessibility insofar as that the entrance steps to get into the hot tub were no good for my fiancee who had a knee replacement about six months ago, so sadly she couldn't use it which was a real shame. Perhaps some sort of steps and handrail up to the side of the hot tub could be adapted. Other than that we would definitely go back, but probably opt for a lodge next time.

Great week at dacre. Lodge was spotless inside & hot tub checked daily. Facilities on site were really good aswell. Great location close to beaches & local towns.

This place is amazing by far the best place we have stayed. Very peaceful, we went early July before the kids finished school. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of ducks that greet you when you open your cabin door, and lots of rabbits too. Lovely restaurant,bar and adventure golf. We had 3 lovely days kayaking on the lake from our own jetty which is something we have been searching for for ages. Already booked for next year along with my son and his girlfriend. Would highly recommend well worth the money.

Park was very pleasant, though sitting on veranda was spoilt by noise from nearby main road. Lodge was very comfortable but in need of updating. However a very enjoyable week enhanced by good weather.
