A perfect location for visiting the Observatory and the local area. Lodge was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. A quiet and peaceful lodge park, perfect for getting away from it all.

Not the break away we had hoped for. Extremely disappointing.

The lodge was lovely and very well appointed. The beds were comfy and everything was absolutely spotless. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of mould in the corner of the main bedroom which made the whole place smell quite a lot but other than that it was great! Personally I think a few touches such as hand soap and not being required to strip the beds at the end of your stay would make it better but these things don’t take away from how beautiful the lodge is. The hot tub is in a strange fenced enclosure which I think could be lowered on one side so you can view the valley.

Fabulous place, ideal location being able to sit out on the veranda and not overlook anyone. The lodge is well equipped and spotless. The layout is perfect. We first went last year for my 60th and to go to Kielder Observatory. The wildlife, peace and quiet and the dark skies are great.We are not really hot tub folk, but tried it and it was really great for aches and pains!

The lodge was excellent and we would definitely stay again. The size of accommodation was perfect for two or four people and an unexpected dressing room off the main bedroom was a pleasant surprise. The hot tub is located at the front of the lodge but I secluded due to fencing around it.

Beautiful, faultless Lodge with a fantastic hot tub. We loved every minute of our stay. The lodge was equipped with every thing you could possibly need. The views are beautiful and the surrounding areas are perfect to explore. Lovely quiet park and privacy around lodge and hottub. WiFi works great and the tv/music system is ideal. Was adorned with a beautiful Christmas floral display on our arrival - this really set the scene of cosiness and added a personal to7ch from the host. We can't wait to return. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Lovely place and in a lovely tranquil spot. Clean, warm and cosy. With a few tweaks (bedside lights?) it would be perfect.Winter visitors to Kielder should note that pretty well everything is closed for the winter, including shop and cafe.

Amazing lodge with a fantastic hot tub. Lodge was set up lovely and warm for our arrival. Owners messaged direct beforehand with lots of advice and guidance on how to arrive and what was around the area to do, and they also greeted us on our arrival. Lovely and welcoming!Although we arrived when storm Babet was happening, we still managed to have a fantastic time, with the second night gifting us with the most breathtaking night sky which was perfect for our telescopes! We also had good enough weather to have a dip in the hot tub! Can't wait to go back x

it was a lovely lodge and the personnel touches made it seem home from home

We loved the peaceful setting, it’s ideal for walking or cycling right from the doorstep. The silence was refreshing. Be sure to bring supplies since there are no shops nearby. We’re definitely planning to visit again soon! Absolutely worth it.

We really enjoyed our visit and would happily return. The only thing missing was a play area outside for kids, but it wouldn’t stop us from coming back again soon!

We had a really lovely stay. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for relaxing, especially if you enjoy outdoor activities like walking and cycling. The hot tub was a real treat after biking around the lake. Just a tip-bring some insect repellent for the midges! Would definitely recommend.

We loved the mountain biking here - such a great spot! Not many restaurants around, but since it's self-catering, we brought everything we needed.

We genuinely enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lovely placeand we’re really hoping to return someday. Sadly, it’s fully booked for the foreseeable future, so we’ll keep trying for cancellations.

Great place, just wish we stayed longer

Jackie really went out of her way to help us discover some great activities. When we arrived, there was even a lovely cake waiting for us - it felt so welcoming. We absolutely loved every moment in the lodge, especially the hot tub - such a treat!

The lodge was lovely and well-equipped, super peaceful and warm. The hot tub was a real highlight too!

We really enjoyed staying here! The lodges were comfy and affordableand the location was perfect for exploring Kielder’s attractions. Just a short walk to the castle and local pub too.

A fantastic holiday it’s was fabulous

Beautiful setting. Beautiful accomodation. Perfect long weekend away. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The lodge had everything we needed in it. Only thing we were disappointed about was not being able to see the stars at night but it was wrong time of the year I think for that. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially those wanting a peaceful setting to relax but with adventures close by for families who also want to explore, cycle, walk, do water sports etc too.
