The break away was lovely. My husband loved the fishing and my daughter and I loved the hot tub and spa. The dog was welcome everywhere which made the break a lot easier. The staff were all really welcoming and helpful. The accommodation had everything we needed. It was a nice relaxing break away even though the weather was terrible.

Just everything was absolutely wonderful, far exceeded expectations.

Lodge was immaculate cannot fault it at all.

The lodge was really clean, my only issue was the sofa which has a lip on the edge, this was full of dog hairs and crumbs and had to be cleaned when we arrived. A hoover wouldve been really useful.

Could you make the Kitchen in accessible lodge more accessible, yes the lodge is accessible and the toilet but the kitchen is designed for able bodied users and many wheel chair users would be dependent on their able bodied partner / family for the week.

Lovely park and surroundings. Restaurant limited menu choice and the bar service was extremely slow. A cover and more privacy for the hot tub would be much appreciated we purchased a large umbrella to help shelter in the bad weather wind and rain. The spa/ pool was disappointing a tiny pool full of kids and small steam room showers not well placed right at the end of the changing area instead of pool side which I would expect. Changing areas dirty with muddy shoes and soaking wet really difficult to clean and dry yourself.

Wonderful accommodation, ours had a lake view. Very spacious for a family of five + dog.

Generally clean, though there was a very dusty kitchen shelf and some crumbs on the floor when we arrived. Simple equipment was helpful but a few more cups and plates would mean that we wouldn't have had to run the dishwasher each day. Easy to reach Holsworthy and Bude. Really well priced

Immaculate and very spacious lodge

Very spacious, well equipped, warm cosy lodge with great hot tub. Couldn’t really ask for any more and superb value for money, with 3 large bedrooms.

Beautiful location and the staff were extremely helpful, especially at reception and in the pub. The apartment was clean and warm, and had everything you needed - a lovely touch for Valentine was a box of chocolates and a red rose. The only downside was the hot tub which was completely exposed when people were walking past and no over cover so was limited as it rained a lot. As a dog owner, it would be helpful to have the area fenced. I also recommend taking a bed throw as you walk directly into the bedroom and as it was raining heavily it was very muddy. Please be very careful when walking on the paths the wood edging is very slippery! My husband went down heavily!

Good apartment with access to all the facilities within the park, ideal for a weekend away. Due to weather could not use the hot tub, but swimming pool is worth using. Only issue was the bed, and the mattress that had seen better days and ideally needs replacing, also could be better external lights as not easy to find in the dark.

Hot tub like a hot bath and checked twice Daily. Inside the lodge was roomy and spotlessly clean and very well appointed. One small niggle as a short person all plates etc were in high cupboards that I couldn't reach . All base units empty . I am 5ft .

The cabins are lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean with everything you need. We loved the cream tea left as a welcome gift thank you. The only tiny niggle was it would have been nice to have 2 double beds as we stayed as 2 couples rather than a double and a twin.

A fantastic place for a relaxing holiday, even if you don't fish!

We didn't come to fish - we just wanted a break, though having seen the lakes I would like to come back and fish them at a let date. The thing that strikes you about the place is how quiet it is and that was acknowledging the building work that was still going on. The welcome pack of goodies was a surprise and a real nice touch - thank you, plus we found a Waitrose not that far away in Holsworthy. The weather, which was great, obviously influenced our review, but it was so nice to have our meals on our patio and just chill and this place lets you do that. We heard that there are big plans for the site, including erecting quite a few more lodges, so it will be interesting to see how things progress. Hopefully the serenity of the place isn't spoilt as it grows. Two small gripes - 1. There was no mirror, except in the bathroom, making drying hair a bit of a challenge (this was more of an issue for my wife - she has a lot more hair than me!) - 2. The shower was a bit small. We're not big people but are a bit older than some and when you dropped the soap, let's just say that it was a bit of a challenge to pick it up! These may both have been addressed in other apartments/other accommodation, but thought it worth mentioning. Overall though, we'd recommend (and have already recommended) this place.

Had an amazing week at Clawford Lakes, still under construction, but did not affect our stay, already booked for next year and can’t wait to go back, try the Sunday roast absolutely fantastic, Receptionist’s we’re very attentive and brilliant for dogs, couldn’t recommend enough

The lodge was amazing and was situated on the lake side. The accessible bathroom was great for someone with a disability. The takeaway food from the pub was lovely. There was a nice welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Also we could bring along our dog.A fantastic holiday and a fantastic place to stay.

Amazing, peaceful, relaxing place. Good location (around 25min driving to Bude), and the most important thing....100 % dog friendly.

Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at, accommodation good and clean, surroundings thee lakes etc beautiful good fishing, bar/restaurant good and great food. When the spa and leisure lake open something for everyone to do. Definitely going back next year. Small amount of work going on but didn’t spoil it.

Beautiful resort and spotless accommodation. Restaurant food was exquisite and staff were very attentive. I advised that it was my partner’s birthday and we arrived to find a cake, bacon, eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice, bread and butter in the kitchen, a lovely touch, thank you!

We had an amazing stay at Clawford lakes, the location is simply beautiful. Very peaceful and the staff were helpful. Free bikes/helmets to hire which were of very good standard. The hot tub was super clean, staff check the water every day. Only a few small bits of feedback: no hair dryer in our apartment, no kitchen roll or foil in the kitchen, very basic supplies and for the price we paid a hand pump of soap and shampoo/conditioner would of been a nice touch.
