Lovely quiet site bordering the Lake.

I don’t think the lodge had been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Sweets and crumbs under the cushions on the settee. Fire on wall in lounge was thick of dust. Dishwasher wasn’t clean on inside of door. No facilities on site except children’s play area.

Everything was great from start to finish lovely location the lodge was clean tidy and plenty of room for 6 and the hut tub topped it off

Booked a lodge for 2 nights in February. The site is located in a lovely location overlooking the lake. It's a very quiet site as it's well away from any main roads. The Lodge itself was pristine, has all the equipment you could possibly need and the best point was the view from the decking. The staff on reception were very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier as our lodge was ready, this was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. The chap we spoke to during check out (possibly site manager/owner) was friendly, enquired about our stay as the lodge we stayed in was new and we were only the 3rd guests to stay there. This was a nice touch. Overall a great stay and would love to return.

Nice lodge that suited us well, we're not hot tub fans! Nicely furnished and good facilities at a very good price and a view of the lake.

Great space, very dog and baby friendly. Would advice storage such as a coat stand for coats and maybe more subtle lighting for the evening but overall a great experience and worth every penny, and more!

Brilliant stay. The lodge was well equipped, spacious and clean.The dog treats and blankets were well received.We enjoyed the prosecco.Would certainly consider booking again.

Beautiful cabin, with good furniture, all clean and tidy with everything needed for the perfect stay. Even a bottle of welcome Prosecco!

Nice lodge outside space taken over by hot tub, would have been bit tight for 4 adults to sit outside!!Can’t fault bedding & towels immaculately white & clean. Do think lodge could do with bit better clean found lots of dust & cobwebs but saying that had great time.

Lovely place, very quiet

loved our lodge, and thank you for the goodies. Accommodation was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Kitchen/diner was a good size and well equipped. Balcony great too. En-suite great, plus extra bathroom. A real pleasure to stay in. Thank you so much for allowing dogs. Ours had a great time.

The lodge was very nicely positioned by Bassenthwaite Lake. It was relaxing, comfortable and well equipped. We felt very welcome.

A great lodge and hot tub. Very well maintained and well equipped apart from a clothes horse which would have been handy to dry our swimwear after going in the hot tub.

An absolutely beautiful location, worth it just for that. The lodge was nice especially the hot tub. And even though it was luxury for a lodge, it does feel a little bit shabby in places, for example, formica curling off worktops, mould in the corners of the showers and the cleaning wasn’t the best with cobwebs on the ceiling. The kitchen would benefit from a bread knife. But overall it is a stunning place and we would definitely return.

The addition of a hot tub was great and the accomodation was comfortable and well equipped with easy access to the lake for Kayaking. The lodge was looking a little tired in places, but this didn't detract from our comfort or our ability to really enjoy the location.

Superb lodge, comfortable and well equipped. A joy to stay in. Great having en suite in the main bedroom and a bathroom too. Extras for our dog too. Nice to be able to do the early morning dog walk, just a couple of minutes walk away.

Great short break good facilities and excellent staff.

A nice lodge equipped with everything needed, two full bathrooms with shower and a double and twin bedroom. The only downside was the size of the outside space with the hot tub taking over a good proportion of the decking. As there were only two of us it wasn't an issue but for four it would be a bit of a squeeze to sit outside comfortably.

Fab holiday will recommend. ???? Beautiful surroundings and Great chilling in the hot tub. Very relaxing holiday ????. Plenty of lovely places to visit. Loved buttermere. Local pub. The sun inn for really nice food. Staff very friendly. ??.

Beautiful setting

What a great house, the pictures don't do it justice. We had a great time here, can't fault anything. We enjoyed being so close to the lake and it really is a very picturesque spot. Staff really helpful as we left a few items behind! We would certainly visit again. Thank you!

The lodge is in an awesome location. We were literally 60 seconds away from the lake which our Siberian Husky loved. Keswick is 10 minutes away in the car & Dodds Wood is just over a mile away - well worth a visit to both. The Cumbrian Coast is only 30 minutes drive. The accommodation was fantastic - very well appointed. Great unexpected extras /treats on arrival for us & our dog - nice touch which really makes the difference. Staff all great & very helpful. All in all a great break in an excellent location. I would absolutely recommend.

Outstanding site in lovely surroundings.

It’s so gorgeous we’d like to come here again. Beautiful setting , felt like Canada. Love that we could cool off in the lake and walk from the lodge too. It’s much more peaceful than a lot of the lakes this time of the year.

The Croft Cottage was perfect for us. It was very spacious and it had everything we needed. It was very clean. Just a short walk down to the Lake. We will definitely be booking this again.

Amazing location, recommend getting hot tub, got an early check in, lovely scenery and areas to go to
