Enjoy a holiday full of zest in south Devon at the family-run Lemonford Holiday Park, ideally located for exploring the region’s many attractions. On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, it is a half hour’s drive from the beaches around Torquay and Paignton on the English Riviera. Upon settling in, trekkers are encouraged to tackle Dartmoor’s craggy terrain, scrambling over hills and paddling through streams and rivers. Also worth a visit is Widecombe in the Moor (a 15-minute drive), a typical Devonshire town with a splendid church (known as the Cathedral of the Moor). Are you more of a beachcomber? For castle-building on the sand, head to Teignmouth and Dawlish or to Paignton Pier for coastal sessions in between tenpin bowling, fairground rides, and crazy golf (all around 30 minutes from Teignmouth).
