The holiday park was pretty lovely overall. The caravan was spotless and seemed to be maintained to a high standard, which we appreciated. The only downside was the swimming pool - it’s quite small for a place like this and booking a slot was a nightmare, so the kids only managed to swim once. Aside from that, the location is stunning and super convenient, just a train stop from Edinburgh. Definitely worth a visit, we’d say!

We had a fantastic stay at the park! Ivy was spotless, super comfy and cosy. Even in December, it stayed warm. The sports facilities are top-notch-definitely coming back! Highly recommend!

We stayed at the lodge expecting it to comfortably sleep six, but found seating for only five since two sofas are just for two people. The place mats were only enough for four, which was a bit awkward. Also, there was no chopping board, which was a small inconvenience. On the plus side, the towels provided were good, so no need to bring our own. Little touches like extra place mats and a chopping board would make a big difference, though.

We had quite a frustrating experience. The staff didn’t respond when we reported serious issues like cooked food left in the grill pan and a broken fire alarm in the bedroom. The heating control was faulty and we had to get up after midnight to switch off the boiler. No instructions were given for the TV or other appliances either. Not impressed at all.

We found the place really comfy and well kitted out, with a separate fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Modern digital TVs and reliable Wi-Fi made it feel homey. The only downside was it’s a 6-person unit but seating for just 5 in the living area, which isn't ideal for six adults. Also, it’s a bit of a trek up a steep hill to the main facilities, but it didn’t bother us much.

We had a lovely stay at Thruston Manor, the caravans were really nice and comfy. The pool was decent, but it was a shame that most of the other stuff like the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and showers weren’t working. Still, we’d definitely return!

We found the caravan to be quite lovely, much nicer than we thought from the photos. Given the current restrictions, like the pool being off-limits, we do think the price could be a bit lower for now. It’s a really beautiful spot, but some improvements could make it even better during peak times.

We had an amazing stay at this charming lodge! The furniture was lovely, it felt super cosy and everything we needed was available. We honestly felt like we were home!

We stayed in Lakeside 59, a 3-bedroom lodge. The lodge was clean, spacious and sufficiently equipped for a holiday stay. A little sparse on cutlery but we could live with that. We had wifi but the connection wasn’t great. The few queries we had were dealt with swiftly by the staff, whom we found to be very friendly and helpful. As we’re the many semi-permanent residents we encountered in The Glen ?. The swimming pool was a big hit with our granddaughter, as we’re the organised activities for children. The shop is well-stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely consider going back.
