The hot tub was huge, bed was comfy, shower was powerful. Could do with a bigger tv and the dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes but other than that we couldn’t fault it

The lodge had everything you possibly needed for a great stay. We felt like it was nice and secluded so you weren’t overlooked when in the hot tub and the extra bonus of seeing the ducks everyday was the highlight for our children.

just needs Robes and a parasol to be 5 star. Will return

Simply fantastic.

Furniture could benefit from an upgrade as showing signs wear.Sofa sagging so not the best of comfort. Wardrobes need repairing or replacing but still usable.Kitchen units also showing signs of wear and need repairs or replacing.This didn't spoil our holiday, but we might not book the same lodge next time.

The bed was sooo comfortable and the bath was to die for. The hot tub was big enough for 4 even tho it was only booked for 2. 10/10

Just perfect what more can I say. Take plugs though as no usb sockets but this is so minor! Just relaxing quiet prity perfect romantic get away.

Another lovely stay at Oakwood Lodges. Very welcoming and comfortable lodge. If remodelling a larger fridge freezer would be beneficial there are 1 or two places this could be accommodated. I would consider a summer stay but not at the moment with the fridge freezer being so small. The lodges are quite remote which is lovely but shopping wise you would need to shop for food each day if self catering. Some take aways do deliver but cost is high for delivery. The Chinese restaurant and take away advertised in the holiday folder I wouldn’t recommend it was very expensive and not enjoyable at all.

Beautiful lodge in a peaceful location. Overlooking a pond with decked area, hot tub and outdoor lighting.

Lodge starting to show wear and tear, could do with refurb, general decoration, etc. Really could do with large TV and extra sockets

Lovely lodge with stunning bedroom. Hot tub is not over looked at all and is very private . Had a fantastic weekend and will definitely return

This was a brilliant get away, I couldn’t have asked for a better location and experience. The staff were kind and the facilities were fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone. Only flaw was the internet was abit slow and the tv small and outdated, but who really needs these when you can watch nature and chill in the jacuzzi.

We had a lovely few days in our comfortable and cosy lodge. The accomodation is tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen. The large hot tub is set on decking overlooking a lovely pond, with lots of birds to watch. It is a peaceful getaway place, still in easy reach of York and Hull. The host Gerry was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

We felt that the lodge was a bit dated. Wall heater looked as if it was about to fall off the wall. Cutlery was a bit miss matched.fry pan had seen better days. Window blinds were very dated. Fire screen did not light up. Hot tub cover was difficult to manoeuvre it appeared as if the steel frame needed to be anchored to the decking. Shower tray would fill with water when showering to the point we thought it would overflow. We've stayed at Oaklands a few times a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stays. As I said earlier everything seems dated

Lovely place to just chill and relax, but if you don't want to selby and York nearby, my 2 little dogs loved it as well, hot tub was lovely too, our 2nd time here but won't be our last

Loved the isolation and quiet.First time for many years that we were able to appreciate the night sky without the intrusion of street lights or the noise of passing vehicles.Two small maintenance details that should have been picked up but was more of an inconvenience than a major problem were the toilet fan that was so badly worn it mimicked a jumbo jet engine. Second the shower would barely drain and several times came close to overflowing.

Absolutely loved this holiday to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Such a peaceful location surrounded wildlife, the House martins were a treat to watch. The lodge has everything you need in it to enjoy your stay. The site manager Gerry was really helpful especially in recommending places to eat out at. Easy to get to Selby & York. We will definitely return. TY

If you want a little luxury, and complete peace and quiet this is the place to go. Gerry and Garry are excellent and really make you feel at home.

Secluded and so peaceful. Great location just a few miles from York and designer outlet park and ride.

Had a great stay, place is lovely and the view as well as the family of ducks are beautiful. The lodge was clean and nicely decorated and having the hot tub was an added bonus. Would recommend this place for any romantic getaway. Thank you.

Superb location and good accommodation

We had a great week, lodge was really good and had everything we needed. We all loved it, we had the hottest day ever though and needed fans for nighttime. Superb location for us we had two children with us so we’re out most days then back later in…hot tub was great for us as a family too.

A lovely peaceful break with lovely clean accommodation and friendly helpful staff

What an Amazing lodge, it's luxurious and relaxing. We stayed for a week and it was so chilled. The bedroom definitely has the wow factor. It was the comfiest bed I've ever slept on and the shower is amazing. We were there during the heat wave and temperatures got to 40°. We turned the hot tub down low and used it to cool off. The kitchen was well aquiped and had everything we needed. We headed into York one day and used the park and ride to get there. York was lovely. The only downfall of the whole break was the garden furniture. The chairs are uncomfortable and because they were metal got excruciatingly hot during the day that you couldn't sit on them. As it was so hot you wanted to be outside but unfortunately there was nowhere to relax. I'd have rated this 10/10 if the furniture had been a bit more comfortable and practical. If we went again we would take our own garden loungers.

Beautiful lodge, overlooking a small lake, occupied by wildlife. Superb hot tub and modern lodge. Very relaxing ! Well worth a second visit.
