There was only parking for one carThe secluded hot tub is just a 6 ft fence panel, there were no instructions about the hot tub and on the last evening it was cold , no idea why The lodge itself was just standard one you would buy, no full length mirrors , no lamps, we had to turn on cooker hood as main lights were so harsh2x2 seater sofas for 6 people? When we arrived we were asked for £500 security deposit, nothing was written anywhere about this so we had no knowledge It took 12 days to get back to bank account which is unacceptable and should have been written clearly on booking webpage (then we would have picked somewhere else, hate waiting to get money back ) Three ladies of a certain age just wanted a getaway with a little bit of luxury and that’s not what we got

The Rutland Lodge sleeps 6 adults but only enough room to park one car. Several things not up to scratch for a luxury lodge, WiFi in number 9 poor. Hot tub is at the side seemingly as an after thought.

Highly recommend this location if you enjoy luxurious and peaceful accommodation with both Leicester & Mkt Harborough within easy reach. Rockingham Castle is also well worth a visit.

Lovely clean and modern lodge everything was excellent. The only thing I would like would be a set of steps to enable me to get in and out of the hot tub more easily

The lodge is beautiful with lovely decor and everything we needed, the hot tub was gorgeous , only thing I could add would be maybe to have some fairy lights etc around the hot tub and as someone else has mentioned having a step up into the actual tub as it is a bit of a problem getting in and out and in the evening it’s pretty dark to see the ground ahead.. The other extra I think is a lamp in the main living area to cosy it up in the evening, but this is a personal preference and we just brought one through from the bedroom. There’s nothing else I can add as everything was just perfect for us .

Lovely weekend spent at Medbourne Edge. Spotlessly clean, spacious, well equipped, quiet scenic location, just what we wanted for some quality family time after several busy weeks.Simon the manager was really welcoming and friendly. Hot tub was great, could just do with an outside light for evening use at this time of year. We will return.

Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom.
