Had a great time. Only 2 night stay. But would hire larger place if staying for longer. Space too small for any more than 2 adults, really. The facilities were closed as late season, but play park for kids looked great.Staff were Very helpful resolving couple of issues… 5 stars to them…We will be back. Thanks guys!

Good space and items inside the lodge. Gnats were a pain when using the hot tub but we would come better prepared for this in future.

A nice cabin with comfy beds. The highlight was sitting in the hot tub while it was pouring rain. Then watching a movie in the living room with a cup of coffee as we dried.

The cottage was really charming and perfect for some peaceful time away. Just a heads up, you’ll hear planes at night since it’s close to Stanstead, but the hot tub made up for it!

We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, the place was lovely. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was such a treat-perfect for cooling off in the heatwave. We really appreciated how welcoming the hosts were; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields daily. Being near Stansted’s flight path was actually quite interesting, watching the planes land was pretty cool. Overall, we’d definitely recommend Hide for a peaceful getaway, especially if you enjoy a cosy setting and a bit of plane spotting!

We had a fantastic week at this cosy cottage with our two mini dachshunds. The village of Thaxted is charming and the dogs loved making new friends there. The highlight was definitely the hot tub - perfect for cooling off during the heatwave. The hosts were really warm and friendly, which made us feel right at home. It was lovely to see their horses being taken out each day too. Sure, you’re near the Stansted flight path, but honestly, it added to the charm watching the planes come in. We’d happily stay again!
