We are so looking forward to returning at Easter. It is so relaxing and tranquil. Perfect for couples and family alike. There is a play park and animals (horses, deers and of course the Goose) leading up to the holiday park there are fields of horses, sheep, cows and pigs. Lots in the local area to so and see and not too far from Inverness. Owners make you feel welcome and will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Honestly, I can’t find anything to complain about here. The staff are friendlyand honestly, I’d pick this experience over lavish 5-star any day. Love it!

The lodge was super clean, but the sofa looked pretty tired and could do with an upgrade. Chairs weren’t great either.

We had a lovely holiday, really enjoyed ourselves. The place was lovelyand we’re so glad we made the effort. Sadly, at nearly 70, the long drive was a bit much for us, so probably won’t return. Still, happy we went!

We had such a chilled week here, honestly. The wildlife was amazing - saw three red deer early one morning! Kevin the goose was a character, totally obsessed with black grapes. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful break!

Wow, what a lovely getaway! We recently visited this lodge for the first time and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. If you're after total peace and quiet, this spot is perfect. It’s tucked away in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning scenery - truly breathtaking. There’s plenty to keep you busy nearby; we went dolphin spotting which was absolutely incredibleand the booklet provided had loads of suggestions. Having a car made exploring even better, whether it was a trip to the local shop or just a scenic drive into town. We stayed at Burnside Lodgeand honestly, the best part was unwinding on the balcony, listening to the river and birds - so relaxing! We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait to come back!

Date of stay: 21st April 2019
We only stayed briefly, so we didn’t get to try the food either. The lodge was spotless and super comfy, with heating that worked perfectly-though we didn’t need it much because of the warm weather. Overall, a place we’d happily recommend!

Louise
We really enjoyed our 1 week stay at the Ranch. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. The setting is so peaceful. Our lodge was spotless and comfortable, kitchen was very new with everything required including gas hob. We loved the deer and Goosie but our favourite beasties were of course the magnificent coos. Not only do you have the Highland Coos (Proper Coos, as my husband and I call them). However, for us seeing a Belted Galloway Bull was joyfull, such a rare breed we treasure seeing. Wonderful week exploring NC500 and the Pictish Stones. Highlight, John O'Groats Wildlife Cruise around Duncansby Stacks. We were awestruck will treasure the cruise for years.
John
