Visitor Reviews of Heathside Lodges

We stayed here for 4 days and we loved it, was very quite and peaceful which is what we wanted. The staff was very friendly and made you welcome. The on-site shop has all the essentials you need. Not much around for walking distance but we didn't mind that, there was a pub just up the road 10mins walk but it was expensive and not very friendly. You can drive out to several nearby towns or coastal resorts, Aldi, Morrisons, and more are all around 25-min drive. Also lots of places you could eat out at and reasonable prices. The lodge was lovely, everything we needed was there, very spacious and clean, the hot tub was a bonus to relax in at the end of our day. We would definitely come back and would recommend if your looking for a quite relaxing time.

Old side furniture needs an upgrade same as a hot tub it was too old. Lighting feature wasn’t working and it was quite small. Decking needs to be repainted, same as a lodge itself. Happy with the inside furniture.

Really enjoyed the lodge has everything you needed and it’s nice to be away from everything but still close to place to go Hot tub is great and just outsider back door on deck so not far to go in when finished. Also provide dressing gown and extra towels for when using the hot tub which is great so don’t have to use your other towels. The only draw back is the check outs are early at 9am on the day you leave but part from that everything is great and staff are very helpful always there if need to ask any questions this our second time coming we will definitely be going again next year

We cannot fault Blythe Lodge although a more comfortable mattress would of been nice, but we do realise that everyone finds different things comfortable.

I booked a mini break for my partners birthday for 2 nights with our two little ones and from the time we arrived to the time we left we had the most wonderful time. On arrival the lodge was spotlessly clean with all the facilities such as tea, coffee, milk and sugar packs needed for the weekend. The hot tub was ready on arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed and in which had daily checks by the staff. The location was beautiful and very peaceful too. We had such a lovely time and already can’t wait to book our next visit!

Lovely lodge which was very clean and warm but dated. TVs were very old, kitchen equipment and crockery were chipped, scratched and in need of replacing. If you like to cook bring your own bits from home like knives and chopping boards as what was provided wasn’t fit for purpose. The beds were comfortable enough and the en-suite was nice. Both bathrooms had showers over the bath. The hot tub was old and someOf the features didn’t work. The jets were very slow and no bubbles. We would stay again and really enjoyed our time despite a few little niggles.

Another wonderful break at Heathside Lodges. We've been visiting since 2016 and we are never disappointed. The lodge was clean, warm and cosy and the hot tub was fab as ever. We also love the surrounding area, especially Southwold. We'll definitely be back!

Again, a wonderful experience at Heathside Lodges. The lodge was fantastic, very spacious, warm and with a super hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped and all this just a stones throw away from some wonderful places, Southwold especially.

We had a lovely Monday-Friday break at heathside lodges. The lodge was spacious which was fantastic with lots of storage. It was clean and well equipped with a dishwasher (dishwasher tablets left for us to use); kettle; toaster; microwave; oven and TWO fridges & a freezer. The hot tub was a perfect temperature and size. The instructions that are left are really clear with how to use it. Our kids loved the football goals; play equipment & the nature walks around the site. We did also visit Southwold for an afternoon; Africa alive and we went to Halesworth for dinner one night. The Chinese takeaway leaflet left in the lodge we did use on our last night and it was yummy! The shop on site is great and reasonably priced. I would say the only downside for us as a family was a 9am check out. We had our evening on the Thursday and then left late Thursday night as we knew we wouldn’t all be up; ready & car packed by 9am. Our children would love to return and we are looking to book again despite the early check out.

A lovely lodge with two bathrooms! Warm and cosy during our visit. Drains in the bath/ shower but slow at times meant you were standing in water but eventually drained. Lodge was really clean and well furnished.

Had a lovely weekend stay for 3 nights in lodge 2. Parking was just directly outside our lodge. So that was very easy for us to get our stuff in and out and the noise level from other people was nice respectful to others which made it ever more enjoyable and peaceful for everyone to escape from the normal boring every day life. The hot tub was a great hit for us soon as we arrived(Never missed a day using it). Everything was perfect with clean towels etc. Great value for your money and the owners are very nice and informative. Will recommend anyone to stay here and we will come back again in the future.

I stayed with 2 adults and 3children aged 16 - 2 years. The lodge was beautiful, clean and fully equipped. Hot tub was always clean and heated perfectly. Plenty of towels and pillows even a board game to pass the time. We had a BBQ too. The shop was conveniently on site and fully stocked. All the staff were very helpful and polite. We had a fantastic time and would definitely book to stay here again.
Paul
Very good location for walks. There was a large field for children to play on.
Heather
Great location with only a 10 minute walk to the local friendly pub (20 on the way back after a few beers) serving amazing food and lovely staff and locals who made you feel very welcome The lodge itself was lovely inside with everything we needed. The exterior was a bit shabby and could do with a lick of paint. The hot tub was disappointing as on arrival we opened it and there appeared to be some sort of red drink spilt round the edge and some hairs in the tub. This had clearly not been cleaned after the last guests. The lid of the tub was also in poor condition with rips and tears and the handle broken. On the whole was a lovely break just a shame about the hot tub.
Donna
This is our 2nd visit to heathside lodges and it did not disappoint. The site is immaculate we have never been to a site which is so well maintained. All the staff onsite are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble, the on-site shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. The lodge itself was spotless it had everything you would need with the added bonus of a hot tub which was clean and private. We will be going again
Robert
Great location on a rural site ideally situated 10 mins from Southwold and the coast The site wad very well kept and shrub and tree planting ensured privacy to each plot. The staff and owners were all courteous and helpful Overall an excellent place to stay Highly Great location on a rural site ideally situated 10 mins from Southwold and the coast. Very peaceful and quiet
