We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy caravan tucked away in a peaceful spot right on the pub grounds. The place was comfortable and perfect for relaxing. Just a heads up, the listing shows a dishwasher and washing machine, but they weren’t there. Still, we’d love to come back soon!

We had a lovely stay, though the kitchen tools were quite limited. Beds were super comfy and warm.

What a lovely spot! We stayed in the dog-friendly lodge and honestly, it was such a relaxing break. Our two dogs, Bentley and Bear, had a great time, though the lack of a gate on the decking was a bit of a pain-had to keep an eye on them outside. Still, we’re definitely coming back. Thanks for a great stay!

Managing two dogs and a little one was a real challenge here. The absence of a gate and no internet made things tricky. If they added a gate, we’d definitely consider staying again-fingers crossed they do someday!

Honestly, we were pretty let down this time at the York Lodge. We’ve stayed before and loved it - the first visit was spotless, with a super comfy L-shaped sofa. But this time, walking in, it didn’t smell fresh or clean at all. The sofas were in terrible shape, scratched and leather peeling off - honestly, they looked ready for the bin. The kitchen tap was loose and dripping as soon as we arrived, which was annoying. Plus, we decided to walk to the Bay Horse Pub after a long six-hour drive, only to find out the kitchen was closed until mid-November for refurbs. That wasn’t mentioned anywhere online or on the notice outside, which was really frustrating. It’s such a shame because it used to be really nice, but this stay was disappointing overall.

The lodge was spotless and super comfy, really enjoyed our stay. Only thing is, the description says there’s an ensuite shower in the master, but it’s just a toilet and basin. Still, lovely place!

Perfect spot for a chilled break, just far enough from the city noise to unwind properly. Loved it!

Great overall experience, really happy with the blinds everywhere in the caravan - kept the light out nicely. Curtains could’ve helped with mornings, but still recommend.

We found the place so peaceful, perfect for unwinding and just chilling out.

Date of stay: 4th November 2019
We had a lovely stay overall, though we did run into a bit of a mix-up with Arnold's location. We were booking for a friend's 50th celebration and only found out we were just 18 miles away from where we initially planned. Tried to switch our booking directly with Hoseasons a few weeks out, but apparently, it was too late since it was within 10 weeks of our stay. Felt a bit stiff on their part, but still enjoyed our trip!

We found Ascot perfect for our group - three adults and two kids. The layout was spacious and really well thought out, we loved it!

We had such a lovely time! The staff at the pub were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us. The place was super peaceful, with only four rooms, so it felt really private. Definitely recommend visiting the Saturday market in town too. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

The lodge was spotless and super comfy, really enjoyed our stay. Only downside was the description mentioning an ensuite shower in the master, but it was just a toilet and basin. Still, lovely place overall!
Emma Roberts, Gb
Perfect spot for a chill break, away from the noise but still close to the city centre.
Alex, Liverpool
We had a fantastic family getaway and definitely plan to return in the future.
Emma Carter, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Loved the cosy vibe, would return!
James, Washington
We loved the site, definitely recommend it. The blinds all over the caravan were a great touch, though the curtains could’ve helped block out morning light. Cheers!
Julia, Norwich
We loved the lodge, it was spotless and super relaxing. Pity everything was shut, but understandable. Definitely planning to return soon!
Mark, Northampton
Really nice atmosphere, super comfy seats and we genuinely felt at ease here.
Andrew
Highly recommended ...This caravan site is for the people who wants a very relaxing holiday.
Peter
Fabulous stay lodge was immaculate would recommend and the pub isn't bad either especially curry night on Thursdays.

David
Lovely quiet site close to local amenities
Tina
Excellent place for a quiet get away. Perfect location for days out. Would definitely return
Rosemary
The static caravan was nice and clean, however, there were a lot of cobwebs outside on the veranda. The steps were covered in autumn leaves which must have been there for some time. The kitchen equipment was lacking. One pan did not have a lid. There were no wooden utensils suitable for the non stick frying pan. No tablespoons or whisk and a very blunt potato peeler. The website showed that bedding and towels were provided but there was only one hand towel. When I rang the given phone number for help I was told that they had sent an email, but there was no wi-fi on the site. The email was sent to our PC at home on the day that we arrived. She did arrange for a pack of 2 shower towels to be delivered. There was no towel for the hand basin in the toilet room, no bathmat and the black tea towel was brand new and very fluffy. I would have liked the provision of some cleaning materials. The site was in a nice quiet location and we had some meals at the Bay Horse Inn which was on site.
Karen
holiday was great lodge was comfortable and clean, this is not a gripe but a little lamp in each of the bedrooms and lounge would be great
Lisa
Perfect weekend away just right for what we needed
