The Chester is lovely clean caravan. There was no washing machine or dishwasher, according to the info on the internet there is. ???? The bedroom could do with blackout curtains because of the pub light that was on all night. Blinds needed at the front windows because there is a unit directly across & they looked in. Lovely peaceful area, you can walk down under the main rd to the next little village or the garage shop which was very nice. Didn't get to use the pub ???? we were there 2 weeks but it went very quick! It would have been nice to have a cleaner half way through if just to hoover floor & clean the bathroom.

Really disappointed this time staying in the York lodge again. Absolutely loved it the first time we stayed was immaculate comfy big L-shaped sofa. This time walked In didn’t smell fresh and clean. The sofa was two wrecked leather sofas they were scratched to bits and leather missing…….I’d have it put in the dump. The kitchen tap was so loose and it dripped from the moment we arrived. We went to the Bay Horse Pub on the first day of arriving after travelling for 6 hours we though we will walk to the pub and get tea. To be told the kitchen is shut till mid November for refurbishment. Doesn’t state this on website or on the board outside. So that was a huge disappointment aswell.

Lovely site, we would certainly recommend. Although blinds were throughout the caravan. Which was good. Curtains might have darkened the bedrooms in the light mornings.

Having said all the above and we did thoroughly enjoy our stay, we were unaware where Arnold was and we were taking a friend away for her 50th. We realised several weeks before that we were only 18 miles away and tried to change location if stay with Hoseasons direct, and we’re told it was not possible as it was within the 10 weeks of arrival, which given the circumstances I felt was a bit uncooperative.

David
Lovely quiet site close to local amenities
Tina
Excellent place for a quiet get away. Perfect location for days out. Would definitely return
Rosemary
The static caravan was nice and clean, however, there were a lot of cobwebs outside on the veranda. The steps were covered in autumn leaves which must have been there for some time. The kitchen equipment was lacking. One pan did not have a lid. There were no wooden utensils suitable for the non stick frying pan. No tablespoons or whisk and a very blunt potato peeler. The website showed that bedding and towels were provided but there was only one hand towel. When I rang the given phone number for help I was told that they had sent an email, but there was no wi-fi on the site. The email was sent to our PC at home on the day that we arrived. She did arrange for a pack of 2 shower towels to be delivered. There was no towel for the hand basin in the toilet room, no bathmat and the black tea towel was brand new and very fluffy. I would have liked the provision of some cleaning materials. The site was in a nice quiet location and we had some meals at the Bay Horse Inn which was on site.
Karen
holiday was great lodge was comfortable and clean, this is not a gripe but a little lamp in each of the bedrooms and lounge would be great
