We loved the caravan's size-really spacious and comfy, though a few bits looked a bit worn. When the electric went out one night, we called emergency support and they arrived super quick. Big thumbs up to Golden Gate!

We had a lovely stay at Golden Gate, but the Signature range was a bit underwhelming. We expected more than just the basics, especially since there were no towels, the bedding needs an upgrade and the kitchen utensils were quite limited. Still, enjoyed our time overall.

We stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, the highlight was definitely the hot tub - it was such a nice touch! The beds were really comfy and overall, the van was kept clean, which was great. Sadly, the vacuum cleaner didn’t work and the brush was missing from the dustpan and brush set, which was a bit of a pain. We also had to buy extra teaspoons and glasses because there weren’t enough for everyone in our party. The site itself, though, was a bit disappointing. The clubhouse was quite filthy, especially the carpet in the tiny kids’ play area. The pool was tiny and the shop was so small you could barely get in without bumping into someone. The kids’ area was chaotic, with kids running around and swearing, which wasn’t ideal. The place felt a bit cliquey and finding a free table was tricky. On the plus side, the door staff, bar staff and pool staff were friendly - just a shame about the rest.

We booked the Silver Standard caravan at Golden Gate but ended up getting upgraded to a Platinum one at their sister site, White House, because the previous guests really trashed the original. Honestly, it was a nice surprise! We could enjoy the pools at both locations and found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout. No problems at all and the free upgrade made our stay even better. Definitely a positive experience overall!

We spent a week here and honestly, we had a really lovely time. The caravan was spotless and the mattresses were surprisingly comfy - like proper home ones! Sadly, the club was shut because of lockdown, so we couldn’t check that out, but no big deal. The location was perfect for exploring and the drinks weren’t overpriced at all. All in all, a pretty great find and we’d come back.

We had a great stay! The caravan was spotless and plenty spacious enough for us to shower and rest after busy days exploring nearby places. We didn’t bother with the onsite facilities, as we were just too busy enjoying ourselves. Very pleased with the trip!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place is really well looked after and has everything you need. Our dog loved the nearby walks and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. We’ll definitely return-such good value! Highly recommend.

We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and honestly, the owners were so warm and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us, which made our stay even better. The place itself is adorable-beautifully kept with a charming half-timbered look-and the shower was surprisingly powerful. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like a home away from home. Plus, parking right outside was super convenient and exploring nearby Thaxted was a real treat. We’d definitely come back!

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert were such friendly hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie-felt safe and secure. The location was spot on, with lots of nice walks around and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and ready to take on everything again. Great break!

We recently spent a week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshund girls and they had a blast making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect for the scorching weather, as the water was nicely cooled and super refreshing. The hosts were genuinely warm and welcoming and it was lovely to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being on the flight path near Stansted was actually quite fun - we enjoyed watching the planes come in! Would definitely recommend Hide for a relaxing getaway.

Clean site, didn't use many of the facilities so based my rating upon the choice of facilities that were available. Another bin area would be useful as it was a fair trek to the bins, other than that it was a clean, quiet site, well maintained and would be happy to visit again.

Me and my children (young baby and toddler) absolutely loved it! Great value for money the site facilities and staff were so friendly and helpful and the caravan was lovely and clean and looked brand new! Definitely recommend and will be coming back
