We absolutely loved the peaceful vibe here. The lodge was stunning, nestled right beside a lovely field with picnic tables and chairs. The hot tub’s perfect for unwinding and super private, just what we needed for a chilled getaway!

Honestly, this place was a massive letdown. The lodge was in a terrible state, honestly a health hazard. No one seemed interested in fixing it or even replying. We won't be coming back unless things change!

We really enjoyed our time at Herdwick! The place has a charming vibe and was perfect for relaxing and catching up as a couple. The VIP Pods are super comfy and added a special touch. Already booked again for next year - can’t wait to return!

The fridge shelf support was broken and the toilet seats felt loose, which was annoying. Also, the stain on the settee was quite noticeable. Outside gate can't be shut properly because it hits the decking. Not very impressed overall.

We initially booked the Country Pod but ran into an issue with the electricity, so the staff moved us quickly to Hi Pod One. Luckily, it faced away from the road, unlike the original, which made a big difference for us. The pod was really cosy and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The shower was great, though the room itself was a bit tight for drying off and dressing. The shower tray was a bit dangerous since it was smooth plastic and lacked a mat, so we used a towel to st and on - definitely something to watch out for. We did find the steps up to the pod lacking a handrail, which would’ve been handy. Despite those small niggles, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and thought the pod was lovely. We’d happily book it again - it’s a nice spot and the overall experience was quite positive!

Overall, the appliances and furniture felt solid and good quality. Sadly, the weather meant we never got to enjoy the hot tub, but it was checked daily and well maintained. Would stay again!

Date of stay: 29th May 2022
The stay had its issues, like heating, hot water and a broken toilet cistern, but the staff were really attentive and resolved everything quickly. Overall, not too bad!

Date of stay: 14th May 2022
Overall, we had a decent stay. The location was spot on and the hot tub was a real highlight. The bed wasn’t the comfiest and the fridge was pretty small, but still good value!

We had a fantastic stay! The hot tub was spotless and perfectly warm. Definitely coming back!
Emily
Date of stay: 4th May 2022
We stayed in this pod for a couple of nights and it was okay overall. It did feel a bit tired, like it could do with a refresh, but it was clean enough. We found it tricky to store our clothes since there weren’t many places to put them and a few more hooks would’ve helped. The TV placement was a bit poor - it’s mounted too low to see comfortably from the chairs or bed. On the plus side, it was really peaceful and in a good spot to explore the local area. The price felt a bit steep for the size, especially since check-out was at 9am and we couldn’t arrive until late. Still, it served its purpose!

Date of stay: 3rd May 2022
We stayed in a Hi pod recently and honestly, it’s perfect for a quick getaway. Warm, cosy and well-equipped, just wish the corner sink wasn’t quite so awkward to use. Still, loved it overall!
Joanna
Loved every second off it.
Val
The location of the park was ideal, being a 10-15 minute walk from Hawes. The facilities of the accommodation were good for a comfortable self-catering stay, with fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and 2 electric hobs. It was cosy with a confy bed and the towel rail in the bathroom was great for drying towels and swimming costumes after use with the hot tub (which was fanatstic and nicely private). The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 3 nights here and would definitely recommend.

Vicki
Went here for our honeymoon were greeted as soon as we arrived. The staff were really friendly The lodge was small but ok for the both of us and hot tub was well maintained and red hot deffo will be back on the future
Katie
We stayed for two nights and it was the perfect little getaway! The staff were extremely helpful in showing us round and showing us how to use the hot tub and were very approachable. The place itself was lovely and clean and the little village was just a short walk away with lovely shops and pubs. Would definitely recommend this place!
Isabel
Had a 3-day minimoon after our wedding here, and it was to dream for! What a lovely holiday, gorgeous little holiday home, well equipped, clean, peaceful... And that hot tub! Just unbelievably delightful. And any questions, the lovely staff were always available and helpful. The views around are lovely, and all that one can hear are the cattle and sheep in the distance. There's a short walk to Hawes town, and other many accesses to different country walks. We're so sad it is over, that we are planning our next stay here again this year and it has become one of our favourites.
Annie
Lovely pod and hot tub. Great host. Great location being only 5mins walk to Hawes Town.
Andrew
Had a fantastic short break could not fault anything
Jordan
Location was perfect Handy little walk to Hawes for cafes, restaurants, pubs and convenience stores Good base location for many different walks and site seeing
