No matter where you are staying in the Yorkshire region a visit to Castle Howard is a must. The magnificent 18th century house has a stunning setting in breathtaking parkland with gorgeous grounds speckled with temples, lakes, statues and fountains. The formal gardens are the perfect place for a stroll and the woodland garden and ornamental vegetable garden feature some beautiful displays. Other attractions include the Great Lake where visitors can take boat trips and the adventure playground where the little ones can run around. The house is also open to the public and guided tours are available. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic but there are also 3 cafes onsite and 6 shops. An adult ticket for the house and gardens is just £13.

The accommodation was perfect. Clean and modern. The hot tub was amazing, we did have some problems with it on the second night but the staff, Simon and Tim were so accommodating we could not have asked for more. Thanks guys! :o)
