Woodside Coastal Retreat

This was a very small and tired lodge so we would not stay in it we got a big better one

Perfect, peaceful and relaxing. Lodge was very clean with clean, comfortable beds.Private small beach- can walk between the two Woodside resorts.

The restaurant has been, closed a year. But it still says on website, that there is a restaurant.

Hot tub was cold, had to wait till next day before being able to use it.Half the pumps on the hot tub don’t work.Couldn’t get hot water.Tv kept losing signal, couldn’t watch anything.Needs updating / some money spending as everything looks tired.I’ve been going for over 10 years, and I’m afraid to say by far the worst experience and don’t think I will be returning.

The view is great of the Solent from Carisbrooke Premier View Lodge..all feels spacious inside..3 bedrooms..one en suite..Kitchen has all you need,home from home,and the lounge is a great place to be all together...also looking out on the hot tub,and the outdoor table and chairs,extends the space even more..All bright and fresh as soon as we stepped through the door..and all very relaxing...

We always love Woidside Coadtal retreat..Carisbrooke Premier lodges are our favourites..Stepping through the door of the lodge the first day,feels so fresh and bright..The whole holiday can feel very relaxing..

The furniture I think could be tailored a little more to the space, the positioning of the tv with the sofa’s wasn’t ideal so when you are trying to cram 7 people onto the sofa’s in front of the tv of an evening it was a little challenging!

Was good value for money and very comfortable

Lovely lodge, well kitted out, a little worn around the edges but still a lovely place to stay.

The lodge was very comfortable. My husband couldn't use the hot tub though as the temperature stated it was at 38 degrees but it was absolutely boiling hot and didn't feel safe to go in. Hopefully this would be fixed next time we visit.

Great relaxing 4 days away in beautiful.locationVery reasonable rates . We were happy with everything but just a couple of things would improveNot much cutlery maybe some had gone missing.no.ice cube tray. Furnishing bit tired and small rip.in sofa but very warm.comfortable lodge this didn't matter.Hot tub much nicer than expected and cleaned twice a day.

Nees complete redecoration. Radiators rusty,sofa dirty,tables and chairs need rubbing down and refurbishing. All very comfortable though

decided to book a Carisbrooke view Premier Lodge to celebrate my mum‘s 70th birthday. However, on our first night we all gone to bed there was a loud nibbling and scratching sound coming from under the kitchen cupboard skirting boards. Once we investigated we could hear there was some kind of rodent under the kitchen cupboard skirting boards trying to get out….Then the sleepless night started we all went to bed only to hear the sound of claws running around. I opened my bedroom door and to my horror saw a rat running around in the lounge. We all barricaded ourselves in the bedroom. My mum was crying because she hates rats. None of us got any sleep as all we could hear was the rat scratching and running up and down the hallway. In the morning I went straight to reception and explained what had happened and showed them the video we had taken. The receptionist told me they would just send pest control to take a look. I really had to demand to change lodges as I wasn’t prepared to stay in a lodge with a disease carrying rat. Within the hour I was told I could change lodges so absolutely shattered we all had the task of packing up our belongings and moving to another lodge and unpacking all again, after this we all went to sleep for the best part of the day, so both Friday night and Saturday was ruined for my mum‘s celebration. Definitely not a relaxing retreat that I had paid for as we all left feeling stress and very tired. After this terrible experience, I spoke to the manager Ian who had no sympathy regarding the situation at all and told me I should expect to find rats in the lodge as I was staying by the coast, which I found to be shocking and a ridiculous excuse. Maybe they should start advertising this fact on their holiday booking website. So if you’re looking for a relaxing rat free retreat with great customer service then DO NOT GO HERE.

Lodges are close to the beach and well equipped winter break charges are cheaper than some caravan homes which are smallerThe sites at Woodside are attractive and well kept

Lodge was very comfortable and roomy. It had all the equipment needed. The en-suites were a little snug but clean and usable.

We cannot say how much we enjoyed our recent short break. It was worth paying a little extra to have a lodge with immediate access to the beach and good views. We loved this site because it was very quiet and peaceful. The lodge was in very good order, well equipped and warm!

Has seen better days

Would definitely be returning. The area is so beautiful and peaceful. Sitting on the decking early morning watching the sun rise was definitely a highlight. Staff so friendly and welcoming.

Does need a bit of an update but was clean and comfortable.

The only thing that let the furniture down was the smell of the settees and how low down they were, we had to use our pillows off the beds as the settees had no support.

Very well equipped spacious cabin perfect for our family group of 7 plus dog. Hot tub set into the decking is the best we've had.Lovely quiet setting with sea view and short woodland walk to own very small shingle beach.

The Lodge was very nice but did have a few things to say, we notice there was an old packet of sweet down the side of one of the beds which was lucky we found as thi was in the kids bedroom. The en suite had a flashing light that was becoming a pain after a couple of day. Maybe I should of reported it but I didn't want to be too fussy as we had called many of times to have the boiler fixed. We also noticed there was no hair dryer which was listed as being in the cabin and one of the kids found a bedsheet with a stain on it that isn't always nice. These were only minor issues and the enjoyment we had trumped all these little 5 minute fixes.

Furniture are starting to show signs of being worn but otherwise still good. Enjoyed it. Hot tub worked for the whole time and is tested daily.

Loved the site. Beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and clean lodge. Wonderful views.

We booked just a few weeks before we went on holiday here and the price was very good. Excellent location, beautiful views, very friendly and helpful reception staff. We didn’t get chance to use the restaurant but the bar and staff are great.

Lovely side sea view lodge (No 33) and peacefully quiet! Overall would definitely recommend these lodges in this location.
