Amazing and super friendly hostess. Lodge had great facilities and everything you needed and the hot tub just topped it off. Brilliant location and great base to explore the local areas, all within an hours drive. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for another visit.

A lovely cottage and a fabulous weekend. Nice, quiet location - lots of sheep which was lovely to see. Host seemed very lovely when she introduced herself to us. We encountered no issues during our stay as everything seemed well-prepared. The cottage could do with a little repaint etc but it was very nice and felt clean. It wasn’t as private as I thought it would be when I booked which was a little disappointing. However, overall we absolutely loved it. Also just to make future guests aware the hot tub cover is restricted in its movement so you can’t take it off fully (it only opens half way, which isn’t shown in the picture) which definitely makes it feel constricting.

Absolutely perfect escape in the country if you’re looking for a quiet break away, perfect for couples. Located in the middle of the Somerset countryside but only a short drive to nearby Wellington. The cottage is beautiful with quality furnishings, extremely comfortable bed with superb linen, a decent kitchen and of course the lovely hot tub. Totally recommend. The nearby Rumwell farm shop is fantastic also, plus Sheppy’s Cider farm for a taste of Somerset. The Vintage pub in Wellington is also very nice for a chat with the locals.

Beautiful little cottage, the photos don’t do it justice honestly in real life it is so much more cosy and everything fits in well together for the value of money. Hot tub amazing.

Alexandra
The cottage was absolutely lovely, and we took full advantage of the hot tub! The only downside was that everything was a bit of a drive away, but we knew that when we booked. Would definitely recommend going to the Bear Inn for food.

Whipcott Hilltop was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It was kept lovely and clean and having the owners just next door was very convenient. The hot tub was very relaxing and having the fairy lights on at night made it extra romantic. The location was perfect as it was in the middle of no where which made it extremely peaceful. Just what you need on a weekend birthday break! It is a bit tricky to find and you do have to travel up a very bumpy and rocky track, but it is definitely worth it in the end!! It felt very homely and it was like a home from home. The views were outstanding and the canal is just at the bottom of the track. Lovely for people who love to work, it goes for miles. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and will definitely be returning for another break and may stay a little bit longer. Thank you to Sue and her husband for making us feel so welcome and the dog Sam was adorable. 100% worth the money, we were very happy :)

Very enjoyable - friendly owner. Beautiful location. Cottage lovely, clean and comfortable. Hot tub was great and although it is next to the owners large garden - still felt very private. Would definitely go back.
