Lovely lodge with all you need in the kitchen. Could do with a small shelf in the bathroom, but made do with the window ledge. Second visit this year.Parking for 2/3 cars outside, lovely porch with views of the lakes and woods.

We throughly enjoyed our week long stay at Saxon Mound. The lodge was spacious and modern and well equipped with everything you would need. A real home from home! Situated in peaceful countryside with lake views and only four other lodges, made it the perfect holiday spot for us. We had the whole site to ourselves during the week we stayed! It is also only a 20 minute drive to Cambridge and a 10 minute drive to Cambourne. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful break in the countryside.

Absolutely the best lodge we have ever stayed in. Large lounge diner kitchen, fully equipped, dishwasher fridge freezer and beautiful units. The beds are very comfy and large with big bedrooms, the master has ensuite and a walkin dressing area. The large decking faces south and is ideal for watch the wildlife, herons , rabbits and Pheasants. The lakes have some big fish, our neighbours caught so many. We will definitely return.

A cupboard/shelf in the bathroom would have been useful for toiletries. (Used suitcase to put toilet bags on!) There is also a need for proper recycling. All went in general waste! Windows could have done with a clean and there is a need for blackout curtains in bedroom. Not enough crockery. However, generally it is a very pleasant lodge.

Wonderful Lodge, wonderful location. We had some rain, but I imagine in high summer that terrace is a total sun trap, it would probably help to have the shade of an umbrella. We sat out as much as we could, why would you not? The place was clean, spacious, had (almost) everything we needed, a cafetiere for coffee would be nice, but that's all, and I did take a small one, just in case. All in all, great value, and we have already booked the same weekend for next year.

We stayed in these lovely, modern lodges and honestly, they’re perfect for a quick family getaway. The place is really spacious and clean, with plenty of storage and modern amenities. The wifi was solid and having two bathrooms with showers made mornings so much easier. They even left us some chocolates and kept the heating on when it was freezing outside, which was a lovely surprise. The location is fantastic too-beautiful lakes and greenery just a short drive into Cambridge. We appreciated the self check-in and check-out system and the kids had a blast. We’ll definitely be returning soon, can’t wait!
