Visitor Reviews of Riverview Holiday Park

Date of stay: 3rd October 2024
Would not return and had to leave early as the place was so freezing. Hot tub wasn't ready so couldn't use this even although we explained it was the reason for booking the getaway. They were expecting us to arrive and no staff were there. We had to go knock on a guests home to find out how we could get into our pod to be told it's open just go in. We had no phone or internet signal and with it being in the middle of nowhere you would think the staff or owners would be there to help guests. Shower was broke pod was so cold we had to leave early.

Absolutely bliss can honestly say we would have loved to stay even longer, we went the day after we got married and the lovely people had left a bottle of fizz outside our door which was just perfect. Can't wait to book again

The location was beautiful. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The only negative was the WiFi didn’t work although the staff tried and gave us a booster it also didn’t work. But other than that it was perfect. I would recommend visiting if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was amazing also.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break in lovely surroundings this is for you. Husband is a fisher so was delighted to be able to fish whenever he wanted. Lodge was spotless and had everything you could think of. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Cleanliness marked down because of unwashed coffee mug in cupboard. Odd that there was only one toilet roll provided, we bought our own while there.

Great holiday here in November 2019. Came back again in January 2020. No disappointments.
Lovely lodge, immaculate condition.
Very comfortable, warm and cosy even though it was cold outside.
Pauline is lovely, and good for local knowledge and places to visit. Road closures etc. She also comes to check if everything is good and if there are any problems, which we thought was really good of her given the weather.
We can't wait to visit again. Would highly recommend although it pains me to say so as it could be so popular we might be unable to book.

Beautiful lodge. Immaculate and so comfortable. Kitchen was amazing. Enjoyed cooking when it was cold and rainy outside, pots and pans great size. As was the crockery. Lovely, warm and cosy inside. Lodge very spacious for 4 adults. Picturesque surroundings of hills and river. Didn't want to leave as it was so relaxing and peaceful.
Pauline was very helpful, gave us directions to places round about, information on roads closed due to flooding and alternate route. Came to check everything was okay for us, that we were settled in and if there was anything we needed. Also gave us her contact card in case we needed to get in touch for anything.

Very nice lodge, very personal preference on comfort but personally we found it quite comfy on the whole although bed was a bit too soft! Shower lost a lot of pressure if someone were to run water in Kitchen.

We had a lovely stay at Riverview, our pod with the hottub was just so lovely. The park itself was really quiet and peaceful. There isn't much around so be prepared to drive to different areas for shops etc.
