While the site was tidy and well-kept, we were a bit disappointed because the caravan didn't match what we'd seen online. The noise from the nearby railway line was a real hassle, especially with our anxious dog. On the bright side, the holiday was discounted, so it felt like decent value overall. Not sure if we’d return, but it wasn’t all bad. Just a few things to consider.

So, we stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, the place itself was lovely-spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious for four of us. But that’s pretty much where the good stuff ended. The facilities really let it down. The children’s play area was a bit of a joke-just one baby swing, the other missing and no benches to sit on while watching the kids. The bark underneath the flying fox was covered in dog poo, which was pretty gross and the flying fox itself looked like it was held together with duct tape, so not exactly reassuring. The onsite tavern bar was closed two days out of three and when we did manage to go on the only night it was open, they only had pizza and paninis-no other food menus available, which was a bit of a let-down. The shop was pretty sparse too, maybe because it was early in the season? We needed teabags, but there weren’t any. No wifi in the caravans either-only in the bar area-so we struggled with the terrible TV signal, which was almost unusable. We did ask a staff member to check it out, but they said bad weather affects the signal, so no luck there. There was also a taped-off area outside, looked like outdoor toilets or maybe laundry? A strange moment was when a staff member knocked on our door on the third day to fix a missing cooker knob-never reported it and we didn't even notice it was gone, so not sure if it was something they noticed or if it was already broken before we arrived. I think this place might be perfect for other families who want peace and quiet, but for us, it was a bit too silent. In hindsight, I should’ve looked into the site more before booking. We brought games and baking stuff to keep the kids busy, but honestly, it wasn’t enough. On the plus side, Moffat town is lovely for a quick visit-everyone’s super friendly and Grey Mairs Tail was amazing. Still, probably wouldn’t stay here again unless they sort out some of these issues.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely caravan. The bed was super comfy and it was spotless everywhere. A few small touches like clear heating instructions and some hooks or a towel rail would make it even better. Loved the cute tea towel and sponge set too! Overall, a great stay, would definitely return.

We tried to get an early check-in for Cheltenham, but the TV was broken and only fixed at 3pm. No patio furniture either, we had to ask for it. Not great, honestly.
