We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! The bedrooms were spacious and comfy and the living area felt plenty big enough for everyone. The shower was definitely a highlight-possibly the best we've come across in ages. Only hitch was one door key was missing, but the site manager sorted it quickly. We’d definitely come back!

We had such a lovely weekend staying here! The place was perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our pups were in heaven with the underfloor heating and the garden kept them entertained for hours. Luna especially was wagging her tail so much she strained it - the vet said she was just that happy! We’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is a real gem. The cottage is spotless and well kitted out, making it a comfy stay. We loved the easy access to dog walks right outside and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig! The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Perfect getaway for us and our pup. We had a really lovely stay at this good place. The setting is so peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing away from the hustle. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but they didn’t intrude on the quiet. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day! Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much after a while, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth knowing. Overall, a great place for a peaceful break!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and made us feel so welcome. The place itself is really spacious with well-equipped kitchens and a comfy bed that we loved after long walks. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walking routes nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. We’d definitely recommend it!

The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the heatwave, it was so refreshing. The hosts made us feel really welcome and it was nice to see their horses being taken out daily. Being on the Stansted flight path was surprisingly interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes come in. The village of Thaxted is adorable, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
