White acres Holiday Park has en enviable position in Newquay, north Cornwall and is the perfect choice for a fantastic family holiday. As UK parks go this is one of the finest we have come across offering high quality accommodation and a huge range of facilities.
The park enjoys a lovely location set within 184 acres of stunning Country Park and has no less than 13 fishing lakes making it a dream come true for keen anglers. The park has also been awards the prestigious David Bellamy Gold award for conservation making it a great choice for nature lovers too. This is a great place if you are keen on out door activity. Walking, nature trails, bike trails and wild life walks are plentiful. This is also a great park for sporting pursuits. There are multi sports courts, sporting contests and a fantastic sports extra program for both adults and children.
Children will have a ball at this holiday park. There are lots of childrens activities including an adventure playground, soft play area for little ones, games room, 10 pin bowling and mini golf to enjoy. There are several children clubs here including tree tops for under 4s treetops grove for children ages between4 and 10 and even a freestyle club for teenagers. No one is left out and the planned activities will keep even the most wrestles children amused both during the day and on an evening.
There is a fantastic indoor pool here so no need to let bad weather spoil the fun and there is a well equipped gym too. There is also a handy beautician service so mumwhite acres can have some relaxing pampering while the kids are off having fun with their new found friends. There are several places on site to enjoy a meal or a drink including a grill and pizzeria and a traditional fish and chip shop. Strikes diner is a great family friendly restaurant serving good quality good value meals and of course the on site shop sells all the essentials needed for self catering.
Accommodation at white acres is either in attractive Scandinavian style lodges or spacious holiday homes. Some of the lodges have four bedrooms and are great for larger families while the two bedroom holiday homes are a good choice for couple with one or two young children.
With so much going on in the holiday park you may never feel the need to venture out but if you do you will find that there are plenty of things to see and do in North Cornwall. As well as having some stunning beaches there are some great fun filled family day trips to enjoy and many little sea side towns to explore.
Accommodation at White Acres
Accommodation at White Acres Country Park is varied and they offer a choice of two and three bedroom caravans and spacious Scandinavian style lodges.
All Scandinavian style lodges have TV, kitchen including microwave, bed linen, veranda with picnic table, gas and electricity included and is double glazed and has central heating so no need to worry if you are visiting outside of the summer months. The Penrose lodges are perfect for smaller families with two bedrooms. The Tresco lodges have three bedrooms with an en suite bathroom and extra bath making them a good choice for larger families.
The woodland lodges are more spacious and have three bedrooms. The double bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there is also an additional shower room. The Deveron Lodge is a really good choice for large families or groups of friends travelling together as there are four bedrooms as well as an additional shower room.
There are also several caravans’ types available with something to suit all budgets. The Penhallow and Teal caravans have two bedrooms with the teal also benefiting from central heating. The kingfisher and Penhale caravans have three bedrooms and are 12ft wide providing luxurious and spacious family friendly accommodation. They also have central heating. The Penhale has a veranda which is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and dinner on a warm evening.
White Acres Surrounding Area
White Acres is a great choice for a family holiday as there is so much to do not only on the park itself but also in the surrounding area. As well as the miles and miles of beautiful, clean sandy beaches in this part of the country there are some great family days out to be had.
Minatura Park is a good choice for families with children of all ages. The park consists of three areas. The landmark gardens, goony farm and the amazing dinosaur trail. Children will love the clost contact with the animals in the farm and will have a ball exploring the dinosaur trail complete with swamp! The ships and castles fun pool at Falmouth is within easy driving distance and has an amazing wave machine, a rapid river ride and many other great activities to enjoy. This is a great place to head on a rainy day!
Also in Falmouth Sea squirts is a really fun and educational day out for children. Here they will learn about the world under the sea in a fun and entertaining way. There are many exciting activities on offer here as well as opportunities to buy souvenirs to take back to school. This is recommended for children ages 5-15 years old.
Another educational fun day out can be had at the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum. This is a fascinating museum set within two former working china clay pits. You can learn about how the clay was mined and the importance of it to people living in the area. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the Pentrwan Trail This is a popular choice for families, being a shorter and less challenging but no less enjoyable version of the Camel Trail. This great walking trail is traffic free and it snakes around sluice ponds through to ancient oak woodland and along the riverbank.
