Set deep in the Kent countryside, Two Chimneys is just a few minutes from the coast and within easy driving distance of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs with their traditional family entertainment and Canterbury with its beautiful cathedral that dates back to 597AD.
There are superb facilities for visitors of all ages including nightly family entertainment, children’s play areas and an outdoor hot tub.
Enjoy a game of tennis on the full size court, before having a splash in the hot tub or the indoor heated pools. Two Chimneys also has table tennis tables and football pitch, a diner, coffee lounge, takeaway, shop and launderette all close by. Kent offers great sports and leisure facilities such as golf at Sandwich, horse riding in Sutton and ski-ing at Folkestone. You could even take a boat ride from Ramsgate and go seal spotting!
The accommodation is modern, spacious and luxurious and sleeps up to six people. We like Ash Caravan with its open plan living area and private verandah with outdoor furniture. All the caravans are centrally heated and double glazed and have flat screen TVs with DVD and CD players.
If you love seafood, try the Crab & Winkle in Whitstable – it’s situated on the harbour and has won various awards for its food. You could cycle from Sandwich to Dover along the national cycle route to take in the stunning coastal cliff paths or just enjoy a leisurely stroll across Sandwich Bay with its backdrop of sand dunes. Broadstairs has plenty of high street shops, cafes and restaurants under one roof – the perfect destination for the occasional rainy day.
