Forest Edge is an intimate caravan park set within 9 acres of beautiful parkland. This park has much to offers both families and couples looking for a relaxing short break. If you choose to stay at Forest Edge you will be in a perfect location to explore all the New Forest has to offer as well as the local tourist towns of Poole and Bournemouth.
On the park itself there are activities to enjoy including an outdoor pool, 5 a side football and netball pitch and a children’s play area. Oakdene Forest Park is just a mile down the road and guests at Forest Edge are welcome to use their facilities too, which means you get two parks for the price of one!
The accommodation is based around 2 or 3 bedroom caravans which are excellent value for money. The caravans are all non smoking and come equipped with tv, kitchen, bed linen and duvets. Gas and electricity is included in the cost so there are no hidden extras. Short break bookings are usually taken on a Monday-Friday or Friday to Monday basis although if you have any other requirements call and we can check availability for you.

Forest Edge Accommodation
Accommodation here at Forest Edge is in modern and comfortable caravans which provide spacious family friendly accommodation of a very good standard. They all have well equipped kitchens which include a microwave (apart from forest Wimborne), toaster and fridge/ freezer so are great for self catering. Bed linen is also included here and cots and highchairs can be hired for a small charge.
There are three types of caravan available so there is something to suit all budgets. The Forest Corfe’s are 12ft-wide caravans sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms. They have one double, one twin, and one with either twin beds or bunk beds. They also benefit from being double glazed and centrally heated and so they are a great choice for on out of season holiday too! Garden furniture is provided too so you can enjoy meals or drinks alfresco on warm summer evenings!
The Forest Duriston Caravans were introduced here in 2008. These modern caravans are 12ft-wide and sleep up to four people in two bedrooms. One bedroom is a double and one has twin beds. They also have double glazing and central heating as well as garden furniture. No pets are allowed. The Forest Wimborne caravans are great for anyone on a tight budget! These are more basic models having one double and one twin bedroom. Although basic they are very well maintained and provide good accommodation for a smaller family.
Forest Edge Surrounding Area
Forest Edge Holiday Park is a very popular place for a family holiday and this is partly due to the amazing location. Situated in stunning in Hampshire Forest Edge allows easy access to a huge range of activities and is blessed with being close to some great unspoilt beaches with their traditional British seaside entertainments. This is also an area of natural beauty and the countryside here is a great place to explore on foot, bike or even on horse! If lively nightlife is your thing then you can find many great towns with bustling bars and restaurants just a short drive away.
Hampshire’s top attractions are all easily accessible form Forest Edge. Bournemouth is well worth visiting and has something for everyone with traditional amusement arcades, lively night spots, quaint shops and stunning beaches. Southampton is also close by and is a must for sailing fans. This is a town full of lively cafés, bars and restaurants. For something more relaxing the ancient cathedral city of Winchester is very pretty and a good choice for a family day out.
If you are looking for fun things to do with the children then you could visit Marwell Zoo. There are many species of animal here and children will also enjoy the daily shows. Zoos can be educational as well as great fun and are a good choice for families with children of varying ages!
Motoring fans may prefer to visit the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu while the new forest is a good choice for anyone looking for peace and tranquillity. The Queen Elizabeth Country Park by Butser Hill is also very pretty and is a great place for walking, cycling and horse riding. Adventure Wonderland is popular with families and can get very busy during the summer holidays. This is a great fun park which combines the Alice in Wonderland story with some thrilling outdoor adventure rides.
