Set on a private beach and surrounded by peaceful countryside, Mersea Island Holiday Park has some first class facilities including an outdoor heated pool, live family entertainment, adventure play area and an on-site clubhouse.

Mersea Island is the most easterly inhabited island in the UK and is full of coastal gems like mudflats, salt marshes and native oysters.

From the private beach to the park's own boat launching facilities, Mersea Island Holiday Park is the perfect family holiday. The outdoor heated swimming pool is a real bonus, and you'll also find tennis courts, as well as an on-site bakery, shop and launderette.

The park has a good selection of two and three bedroom caravans including the Luxury Caravan 8 which has one double and two twin bedrooms.

Essex is a county full of contrasts - there are some brilliant seaside resorts but also miles of unspoilt coastline and countryside. And there's lots to see and do in the local area with museums at Colchester and Ipswich and great shopping at Braintree.

Fun Days Out in Essex

No visit to Essex is complete without a day at this popular zoo with over 250 species of animals. The enclosures are well maintained and the zoo provides a good habitat for the animals there.  The 60 acres of parkland and lakes are ideal for walking round and we are sure this day out will provide you with lasting enjoyable memories.   Some of the highlights include penguins which you can see swimming at Penguin Shores, and the elephants at Spirit of Africa.  In addition there are over 30 daily shows to attend.

This attraction is actually free of charge to enter which we think is excellent.  Located on the Southend Seafront there are over 50 rides and attractions to enjoy.  For the very daring there is a 75ft roller coaster with a more than vertical drop- not for the faint hearted!  Other highlights include the Dragon's Claw, Vortex, Scorpion, Ramba Zamba and Sky Drop.  Younger children will also find plenty of more gentle rides and attractions to keep them entertained.

A day at Great Notley Discovery Centre and Park is a fantastic way to explore the very best of Essex offering many facilities including a sensory trail, visitor centre, bistro and cycle hire centre. There are links to  over 15 miles of walking and cycling paths on the Flitch Way too. Those with young children can rent a trailer or tandem bike to make exploring fun for the whole family.

Disappointed not to have a television in the double bedroom as it's nice not watching children's programs of an evening.

There was plenty of room in the kitchen and living area. The beds was comfortable and they even provided the bedding.
Fantastic place. Very clean caravan.
Enjoyed our stay very much. The caravan was spotless and lovely. Staff were very helpful 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
We stayed at this site for the first time with our dog and had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and the caravan was spotless. The little extras like a scrabble game left on the table with welcome on it, the little toiletries left in each bedroom, the goody bag for our dog with treats, blanket, bottle and toy. Everything made us feel welcome and we shall definetly be booking to go back. The walks around the park were lovely as you had beach one side and countryside the other. Can't recommend the park enough.
We had a fantastic stay, Very clean caravan, and it's looked new. Great walks on the beach. We evan got a goody bag for us to get started including toiletrys and our dog got a Goodey bag as well which she loved. I would highly recommend it :)
Very pleasant stay, clean, quiet, relaxing.
Lovely caravan in great location
Lovely clean site, caravan was spacious and modern. Pool was great and the kids loved the play park. Club house could do with a refurb and possibly more entertainment in the evenings. But overall a very nice site and fab holiday .
Loved site we stayed on for. Another 3 days! Clean home from home
Lovely peaceful site with great pool. Easy to get to sea and country park. Would definitely stay here again.
We took our dogs to this site and it was excellent for walking. The accommodation was very good, clean and well equipped. The only downside was no local takeaway restaurants had to drive to west mersea which wasn't far
