Cairnryan Caravan Park
Close to the old ferry port of Stranraer with its castle and museum, this family run caravan park nestles in the hills above Cairnryan. With stunning views across Loch Ryan, it's well placed for visitors to explore beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. A ferry to Ireland is a must - you can travel direct from Cairnryan to Belfast in just over two hours.
The park has a covered heated pool and a games room plus several play areas for children of all ages. Cairnryan has its own bar and restaurant and you can also enjoy a game of indoor bowls. Dumfries and Galloway is renowned for its wonderful tourist attractions, woodlands and nature reserves - and beautiful walks are right on the doorstep.
There's a choice of two and three bedroom caravans and two bedroom chalets here at Cairnryan. Cairnryan Chalet sleeps four people and has a comfortable open plan lounge and kitchen area, a TV with Freeview and DVD player and a well equipped kitchen.
With some wonderful towns and villages close by, you could take a trip to Stoneykirk, a church that was originally built somewhere between the 12th and 14th centuries.

James Hamilton Heritage Park has been awarded 4 Stars by the prestigious Visit Scotland Board and is a must visit attraction if you are in the area. The site features a gorgeous 16acre loch offering an exciting range of watersports including Canoeing and Windsurfing. Children and adults can enjoy taster sessions of most activities. The site also has two adventure playgrounds and a fleet of fun boats. The area is also abundant with wildlife and has a Bird Sanctuary.
